We went out on the 6 am trip early start but worth it. We had Captain Steve a really fun man with a lot of knowledge about manatees. We saw a few and got some really great integration with a baby I got a manatee kiss wich I will never forget. We also went to a spot called three sisters... More

My wife and I took the early tour. We knew that September is not the best time to meet some manatees, but we hoped to have some luck, of course. Captain Steve showed us a movie about the manatees and the rules about the interaction. This movie was also available in German, what made it easier to understand for my... More

Steve was an excellent guide. He was fun and friendly. One the best experiences of my life. I am paraplegic and I got all the assistance needed.

We did this trip over 12 years ago......long before trip advisor! I saw an ad in the back of a magazine, so we booked the trip to Florida hoping it was not going to be hoakie. It was Awesome. We had such a blast. We had several different encounters with the Manatees. We got to swim & touch a mama... More

Captain Steve led us through an amazing Manatee tour. We first stopped because we found two adults, but continued on to find some younger more playful manatees. Shortly afterwards, we discovered the amazingly playful Edgar, and a less playful baby. Steve was very helpful and talkative. After about an hour swimming with Edgar, he decided to feed, so we moved... More

We took the 6am trip with Captain Mike during late August of 2014. We were shown a video on how to behave around the manatees and got our wetsuits and fins fitted before boarding the boat. It was clear from the very start that the welfare of the manatees is of utmost importance to Bird's Underwater, and this is one... More

My husband and I went on the first morning trip. It was amazing as the guide was professional, knowledgeable, good equipment, donuts in the morning!, and a positive attitude. The baby manatee swam right up to our boat steps, and the others slowly nibbled on the algae, etc. We had just the perfect experience swimming with them, observing them, and... More

We did the 06:00 tour with our guide Steve. It was low season for the manatees. The amount of manatees this time of year is not very high, but our guide did find a few. We had a swim with two baby manatees and a couple of adult ones. It was a great experience, we could even touch and play... More

I booked a manatee swimming trip with this vendor by pure chance since the ones adviced by my hotels were sold out. It was the best thing that could happen to me. Th captai. Mike was really amazing and the trip was wonderful. We could swim with the manatees for more than a hour. During the trip we followed the... More

Reasonable price... great Captain.... saw 3 manatees, got alot of great info, and swimming in 3 sisters was awsome. side note. I was traveling home from a dog show and stopped on a whim. They let my non swimming mother and 2 large dogs hang in the dive shop to avoid the heat which I really appriciated and after forgetting... More
