Enjoyed a tranquil walk through the woods and palms. Some of the trail was made of a wooden walkway and other parts were just ground. Make sure you put bug spray on. I did not see anything bite me, but the day after I had bites all over (chiggers maybe?) The one trail is a bit long, to an observation... More

Driving all the way into the park you will see a museum & kayak rentals. Be aware there are alligators, but that is expected it is Florida. It was nice to look at.

This eco walk is really close to Crystal River but you feel like you are hiking in the wilderness. They have great signs along the walk to describe the wildlife and plants of the area. We ended up seeing deer, a few birds and a water snake. It's a loop trail that can get muddy so be prepared.

Take the address and use your GPS to find the trailhead as the turn off from the main road isn't marked at all. Other wise a wonderful hike through 6 different habitats of old Florida. We saw deer and an armadillo on our hike. The hike is easy and flat. It was a little soggy in spots so wear boots.

This is an absolutely enchanting walk. The landscape is varied. There are signs describing the scenes and benches to rest and just take in the beauty. We walk the trail whenever we can. It's a great place to enjoy nature.

This is a wonderful little 2-mile trail located off Hwy 19 a short distance north of Crystal River on Tallahassee Road, which is only about a block from where we turned in off 19. The trail is a loop through some wonderful nature-coast country, and it has many informative signs written at a middle-elementary level--obviously a well-visited destination for school... More

This was an excellent day trip on my last visit to central Florida. We had seen info at a rest area for this attraction. We packed a pic-nic lunch and set out for the day. It was both relaxing and refreshing to get out with nature. We had a nice walk and it is a sight to see. I recommend... More

I enjoyed my 2 mile walk around this loop. I had a really hard time finding it though. Luckily, a nice man at the place the GPS sent me to (the wrong place) sent me in the right direction. I'm from the west coast, so I enjoyed the flora and fauna of this walk, but I only saw 1 armadillo.... More

Short walk ( mile or so), through typical terrain. Plenty of signage, although a lot of it looks geared toward school groups. The GPS took us right there. This was a fine part to our stay in Crystal River

A really enjoyable 2 mile walk, although it seemed longer, partly because we kept stopping and looking at wildlife, which is to be advised. This is not a trail to rush. A particular highlight were the armadillos. We saw two first of all, at a distance, then one crossed right in front of us, a few feet away, and was... More
