This is a small beach but Crystal River is a small town and we dont have much of a beach, people come here to go into the springs but if you like the beach it is not crowded and very clean, you will like it.

I didn't spend much time here but to watch the sunset...it was worth the drive to just relax and enjoy the view!!! Ample parking and free too!!

Small beach, good for sunset viewing. The first time we went there, a group was performing on drums. Nice touch for a beach scene. Second time we went, it was seagull day. I've never seen so many birds just standing on a beach!! Both times we found it better to sit in the car and watch the sunset as the... More

Spent a beautiful evening here, playing in the water and sand and watching the sun go down over the Gulf. Quiet, low-key spot. There are picnic tables, a pier, a swimming area, restrooms, parking. Nothing trendy or spectacular, just a lovely little spot on the water.

This is great little beach on the Gulf of Mexico out on the end of Fort Island Trail. Come out and get sand in your toes.

Yes, there is a powerplant nearby which isn't attractive. I rated this "average" because if you are used to Florida beaches this will be a disappointment. I think it is a more of a beach on the bay or inlet because it's nothing like true gulf beaches. However, it has showers, bathrooms, and a nice little wooded walk to a... More

my spouse and i wanted a beach day close by. we live about 1:15 from Crystal River. it is a small white sand beach(300-400 yards long) ideal for small children or adults just wishing to sit by the water. it's located in a rather remote area but has modern facilities(nice restrooms, showers, covered picnic tables) for bathers. Being on the... More

This beach is small but adequate. It is a protected sandy beach on the Gulf of Mexico. It is clean and safe. There is a fishing pier, boat ramp and rest rooms. There are also some covered picnic areas. Parking is adequate. There is an area for vendors, however there were none there the day we visited. The park is... More

its has a beautiful scenery to look out at and to watch the sun go down makes for lovely pics ,enjoy the fresh air off the water, but the power plant takes away from the natural beauty and who know what might be in the water being so close to it so i dont swim there personally.
