Always rented kayaks in Homosassa, thought we would try Crystal River. Customer service was rude! Just not worth it!
Our day started off with hints of clouds and rain and with the help of our friendly staff member we decided to pay for the 2 hour tour and if we stayed out longer we can just pay the difference. The equipment was all well maintained and we were offered the use of a dry bag that came in handy.... More
Let me tell you a story about these guys! First of all the lady can never remember me and I live here and used to rent from her often UNTIL..... I had some family friends come down with their kids and the guy who was putting the Kayaks in the water became very frustrated with the kids. My buddy was... More
The service at Crystal River Kayak was superb, extremely friendly and helpful workers. The equipment was in excellent shape, they provided everything you could ever need from life jackets to anchors to waterproof boxes for your valuables. The location to launch is perfect, just 10 minutes from Three Sisters Springs and dozens of manatees (November-April 1st).
Stayed in Crystal River one night. Had an afternoon to kill and wanted to paddle. On a recommendation, we ended up here. Got lucky!! Very helpful, pleasant, and quick to get us on our way. Equipment is good - not worn out or damaged. Close to the springs which provide an awesome spot to observe manatee during early spring. My... More
We rented kayaks from Crystal River Kayak last year in early April. We had a great time but didn't see a single manatee; too late in the season. This year we went in mid March and were amazed by the number of manatees in the channels between three sisters and the bay; we must have seen 40 to 50. A... More
Using the coordinates which the company website provided we drove straight here no problems. We had our own boats but the company offered to let us barrow an anchor and told us where to anchor if we wanted to get out and swim into the spring. They also provided a waterproof map so we could explore Kings Bay. The paddle... More
My fiancée spent a week up and down Florida visiting family and celebrating our engagement with several short trips around the state, one of these being two nights in Orlando going to Universal Studios. We decided to make our way north west and check it, excited to see the manatee. We stopped at a Subway and got some sandwhiches made,... More
I had a wonderful experience buying a kayak from these friendly professionals. Crystal River Kay Company is a gem...hard to find but worth it...I have lived in Citrus County for 20 years, and my only regret is that I did not find them sooner. "Get a good paddling"!
the GPS would not take us to this location and actually took us twd the mall. If ur at the mall you have gone the wrong way and need to turn back. Use google maps (it has a street view for this) and see what the street view shows then use one of the 2 neighboring banks and GPS the... More
