This is a great historic site but they are rarely actually there. I went several times when they were supposed to be open,but the site was actually closed. I picked July 2012, as the date I visited, but this actually happened more than once.

Beautiful tree lined streets head you to a old Florida mansion Merrick house it is worth seeing see what it was like in the early 20th century before all the concrete and skyscrapers
this is a great place to stay because it is centrally located
a must visit. it is on a beautiful street with lots of history.
If you like history and learning alittle about the cities you visit then this is a must. The house is only open Wednesday & Sundays, tours are 1:00- 4:00 PM promptly on the hour. We have been here for many occassions and the experience has always been great. I recommend anyone that wishes to visit Merrick House to go and feel how special this place truly is. Thank you
Its a nice spot to stumble onto if you happen to be in Coral Gables.
I really enjoyed my tour of the Merrick house. The hours are very limited, but it is worth a visit. The house is small so it does not take long to see, but it is an interesting part of the history of the area.
It is only a block away from the venetian pools, so it is easy to stop...
