For the past fifteen seasons, GableStage has been at the cutting edge of theatre in South Florida, striving to present the most vital works of contemporary playwrights worldwide. GableStage challenges South Florida’s multicultural audiences with innovative productions that entertain as well as confront today's issues and ideas. GableStage believes the future of theatre can be assured only by the development of young audiences and talent; therefore an integral part of its mission is an annual Educational Outreach Program along with various platforms to encourage promising new theatre companies, playwrights and theatrical artists.Since opening its doors in 1998, GableStage has been led by Producing Artistic Director, Joseph Adler. Adler is a multi-award winning director with a career spanning advertising, film and theater. During Adler’s time at Gablestage, the theater has received 55 Carbonell Awards and 187 Carbonell Nominations.

I am an avid theatre goer who sees most of her shows on Broadway and Off-Broadway; therefore, I consider myself a bit of a snob when it comes to theatre outside of New York. Gable Stage is an excellent theatre and theatre company. I frequently see shows here that I have missed in New York. The productions are always consistently... More

I have seen several plays at GableStage. Each and every one was Broadway quality from the sets to the talent to the lighting and sound. I’m not sure where they find such outstanding talent, but I have never seen a line flubbed, the timing off or had problems understanding an actor. Truly a very professional theatre.

GableStage in Coral Gables, Florida, under the direction of Joe Adler presents plays with challenging topics that are always well acted and wonderfully directed. I highly recommend a season subscription.

We have been subscribers to GableStage for many years. We have never been disappointed. We love intimate theatre, and this is the best! There are no curtains, so we have an opportunity to enjoy the stage setting before the play starts. Every detail is so complete, that you feel as if you could actually move in and live there. The... This is a little known tiny theater that sits next to the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. As a matter of fact, its address is the same as the hotel's. It has had a consistent program of not so usual plays, such as sometimes works by Shakespeare and others not readily seen in the Miami-Coral Gables area. It is worth... More

Producer-Director Joseph Adler presents one fine production after another. Over the last three years, we have attended many performances at GableStage. Each one is well produced and directed, all of them small casts. GableStage has grown on us, a really fine experience of local theater.
