I'm a south Floridian and have been to the Venetian Pool many times through the years. Yesterday, on my 50th birthday, I spent the day there. You have to appreciate the history of this pool - built in 1924. I see that a few people posting reviews disregard the nearly 90 yr old structure as anything but a playground. As... More

My husband found this place in a travel book two years ago and we love visiting. It's in a very nice neighborhood. Makes you feel transported to old Miami. The water is a little cooler, but its nice that's it fresh water. We love exploring the caves and swimming under the waterfall. Restrooms and changing rooms are clean and spacious.

I came here with my son and his friend, on a stop over in the Miami area. I was pleasantly surprised with the pool and the decor. Since we were there mid-week, there were not a lot of people there. The pool temperature was not too bad. I thought it might be a little colder, being March. There was a... More

We travelled a long way to view this as recommended in the DK Guidebook, we were visiting from the UK. We arrived at the location and walked into the reception. There was an employee standing there, and we asked if it was okay to take some photos of the pool (it was empty) he said "No" as it was closing.... More

Really just like a hotel garden . Hard to believe it is a national historic landmark. One little concrete bridge and a waterfall with a swimming pool.

While we did not stop here to swim, it is worth a 15 minute stop to just see this interesting pool built in an old rock quarry. There is a $1 fee/person just to walk through the facility, but there is enough access to see most of the pool and surrounding area from a couple of balconies without paying a... More
