When you walk through the wrought iron gates, you can leave the outside pressures behind and walk back to a time when Miami (Coral Gables) was young and glamorous. I've been coming here since I was a boy and very little has changed in this spring fed little corner of paradise. I prefer weekday visits as it's a bit more... More

This place is unlike anything I have ever encountered. The location is equally unexpected. Right in the middle of Coral Gables... within a neighborhood. This place is like something out of a dream.

We had a lovely afternoon at the Venetian Pool. Got a little lost trying to find it, Satnav or a decent may of helped and parking was limited so ended up parking on the roadside. But the kids loved going in the cave and it was fun to swim in a 'different' pool. Changing rooms we a bit rubbish, but... More

Venetian pool was constructed in 1924 on the site of an abandoned old coral rock quarry. More than 800,000 gallons of fresh spring water are pumped daily, making it the largest freshwater pool in the U.S. and is the only pool in the National Register of Historic Places. Cool to go see and take some pictures from, it is probably... More

My friends and I dropped by here at my insistence because I thought the pool was a preserved piece of history....Well...these days it's just a pretty public pool. Pros: 1. As far as public pools go, it's pretty awesome. 2. Huge waterfall, pretty green water that reminds you of a natural lagoon, fairly large complex Cons: 1. It's pretty commercial... More

That's the most beautiful surroundings I've ever seen for a pool. It's all around, marvellous plants, trees ans coral rocks. The water is fresh, almost cold, and that's welcome in warm south Florida. Go swimm enjoy a snack and lay in the sun.

Wanted to spend some time here but it was not open when we arrived. The pool is beautiful and reminds you of being somewhere in Italy! Very clean and popular with people visiting. Hope to get a chance to come here again. A must if you are in Coral Gables.
