We are from Nebraska which has the best rated zoo in the world. When we decided to go we figured it would be subpar. Very nice and taken care of. Tons of butterflies our 2.5 year old loves them and we thought it would be good to do something kid friendly. We went through all the exhibits and sat down... More

We had such a wonderful time trying to see all the beautiful butterflies, birds and flowers here. The butterflies were a bit camera shy and stayed very well hidden. But the birds loved the attention and being as close as they could get. Great way to spend a few hours.

Butterfly World is just fantastic! The work that they are doing there and the number of species that you see are out of this world. I have been to many butterfly habitats but nothing compares to this one. You see butterflies, flowers, vines, birds from all over the world. I can not begin to describe the beautiful colors of these... More

It's not only butterflies, but beautiful birds and flowers. Very relaxing atmosphere and lots of places to sit and enjoy it. Got a brochure at the hotel.....description is accurate. You can get a discount of $4 from the back of the brochure, among other places. We saw the discounts on maps of the area also. Lots of parking and it's... More

Went for a second time, this time with granddaughters, 9 and 11. They both loved it. You must want to relax to enjoy it. Sit a while in the butterfly area and just let them float around you. Beautiful colors and patterns. Don't miss the Lorakeet (spelling?) feeding area, after you are in there awhile the birds won't care if... More

Underwhelming and overpriced but still an OK way to spend a few hours. Note : If it's cold and cloudy the butterflies hide among the leaves and flowers - so it's better to go on a warm sunny day. (If you are scared of bugs flying around, then this place is not for you!) My two year old enjoyed just... More

Butterflies flying in and around your person with music, aviary area fun, feeding parrots a hoot and bus museum quite interesting.

Visited by much adult children (19 and 21), my wife, and me. While the butterflies are the advertised part of the Butterfly world, other exhibits were just as fun such as the garden area and a couple of aviaries. There were both flying and ground birds (small grouse) that were fun to locate, photograph, and observe. An inside exhibit includes... More

Worth a visit, but very expensive - particularly for young kids. The variety of butterflies and fauna is tremendous, but the venue is too small overall for the price. Washroom facilities are ok and small onsite Cafe, although should be better. And having to pay an extra park entry fee just to get to BW itself is somewhat shocking when... More
