Been past here a thousand times and never stopped. Looked up FCT history online and decided to stop today. Now I'm glad I did. Amazing views! It's the highest observation point in Florida. You can see Sugarloaf Mountain, Lake Apopka, even the Orlando skyline! My favorite part was the wishing well. Drop a coin in and listen to it fall... More

This place is kind of cool because it was one of the first tourist attractions in the area before Disney came to town but I am not a big fan of heights so I was anxious for most of the time we were up there. I have been twice once with my husband and daughter then we went back again... More

Can take an elevator ride to the observation deck- $6.00 that you buy inside Lilly's gift shop- the lady gave us a quick history of the tower and a pamphlet that we could read for a self guided tour-great views of the surrounding counties/cities- signs at the observation deck that tell visitors the distances to adjacent cities. Also on the... More

$12 for 2 people, no a/c, extremely hot, windows were closed and there were wasps. It was neat to be that high up, but there wasn't much to look. Clermont. LOL.

The Citrus Tower is a lovely commemoration to the local citrus industry and offers lovely views of the whole area. The gift shop has all kinds of local souvenirs and very cute greeting cards. A real surprise! I even found gummy gators and other typical Florida treats. Next time I have to get things for faraway friends I will shop... More

It's a nice elevator ride to the top where you can get some awesome pictures of the orange groves, hills and area lakes from the glass enclosed observation deck. It is also a radio broadcast tower and is 226' tall. There is a fee of $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids. There's also a great little gift shop at... More

My last visit here was back in the early 80s when there were orange groves all over. We once went right before they were picked and there was orange everywhere. Well, fast forward all these years and I finally made it back to see the old tower. That's exactly what I found, an old tower. The whole tower is now... More

In the 1950s, the Citris Tower rose above omnipresent groves of orange and grapefruit trees and was Central Florida's most-frequently-visited tourist attraction. (It's since been replaced by Disney World as the top attraction.) It's still an interesting place to visit and you get a great view of a few citris groves and the rest of Central Florida. It's 250 feet... More

Don't miss out on this Florida Attraction! I remember when it was in the middle of orange groves!, The View is still fantastic. A piece of old Florida.
