It's a nice elevator ride to the top where you can get some awesome pictures of the orange groves, hills and area lakes from the glass enclosed observation deck. It is also a radio broadcast tower and is 226' tall. There is a fee of $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids. There's also a great little gift shop at... More

My last visit here was back in the early 80s when there were orange groves all over. We once went right before they were picked and there was orange everywhere. Well, fast forward all these years and I finally made it back to see the old tower. That's exactly what I found, an old tower. The whole tower is now... More

In the 1950s, the Citris Tower rose above omnipresent groves of orange and grapefruit trees and was Central Florida's most-frequently-visited tourist attraction. (It's since been replaced by Disney World as the top attraction.) It's still an interesting place to visit and you get a great view of a few citris groves and the rest of Central Florida. It's 250 feet... More

Don't miss out on this Florida Attraction! I remember when it was in the middle of orange groves!, The View is still fantastic. A piece of old Florida.

A visit to the Citrus Tower is well worth the 30 minute drive up the US 27, it is easy to find and well sign posted. Entry is $6 per person, but the views from the top are well worth it. True, it has seen better days, but this is a piece of Florida history and great for that. The... More

To see the tower today does not do it justice. Travel back in time 40 years ago before the theme parks and Mobil homes took over the area. Today the lone tower rises above street level and shines in the morning light a constant reminder of a better time. The citrus Tower was built to give an amazing view of... More

However, gift shop and folks working there are nice, and it's still a spectacular view. It's not very well air conditioned--don't do it on a hot summer day. Consider making it a brief stop on your way to Disney from I-75, lots of decent places to eat nearby, and a grocery if you need to stock up for your hotel... More

Desert the mouse for a few hours. It's easy to find, inexpensive and the view is to die for !!! No one there when we got there early afternoon and the Lady on the cash desk loaned us a map and binoculars. Very good, stress free experience with no 'hard sell'.

The citrus tower is a landmark attraction in Clermont, Florida. As a Clermont resident we love to visit here often. The staff is always ready to help answer questions and the gift shop always houses something unique and exciting. If you visit during Christmas time be sure to stay for the evening light show by Jays Lights! Compared to the... More
