It was a fascinating piece of history. The outside of the building is a little run down, but inside was okay. The kids had a good time reading the paper on the history of the tower and looking out the windows. I would definitely recommend binoculars as stated in other reviews above. When we came back down, we took a... More

For the price of $6 it was worth the elevator ride to the top to see for many miles surrounding the Clermont area. I would make sure you pick a clear day and take binoculars.

This is a very interesting and cool place to visit. Make sure you drop a few different coins in the slot and listen to the sound that each makes. Great view of the area.

This is not for people terrified of heights . However, having said that, I have a massive phobia of heights but managed to go to the top of the tower after having hypnotherapy. It is a must do if in the area as the views across the countryside are fabulous (weather permitting!) Only $6 each to the top in a... More

Fifty years ago, when Clermont was only a wide spot int the road on US 27, the two main attractions of those passing through were the Citrus Tower and Jack's Bar-B-Que. The add for the Tower was, "Come and see a million orange trees from the Tower." It was true. As far as you could see in any direction were... More

The promise was of 'a magnificent panoramic view of . . rolling hills and hundreds of spring-fed lakes' - all from a 'splendid landmark'. We'd have loved this to have been our experience but it fell a long way short. Instead we found a very tired building in drab concrete, a very uninviting elevator to take us to the top,... More

I believe this Citrus Tower has been around since the 70's and was one of the popular roadside attraction. We did go up to the top of the tower. There is plenty of great views from the top...not much or if any orange groves left around there. Its mostly all developed around there now. There is a really cute gift... More

We love visiting these roadside tourist attractions built prior to the 1970's. The Citrus Tower was built in 1956 and stands at 226ft in height. We visited for the Christmas light show which was nice and is free to view from the parking lot. We visited the gift shop and read all about the history of the tower and enjoyed... More

One of the best Christmas light shows in the area which is free. The lights work with music to make a very enjoyable time viewing the lights and listening to the music that is coordinated. A good place to spend a little time. In addition you can go up the tower and view as many as six counties in the... More

My family and I were in the area checking out some local attractions taking a break from the Orlando theme parks. For those not familiar, to quote from their website: "The Citrus Tower stands unrivaled as a majestic and monumental tribute to Central Florida’s famed citrus industry and its lush subtropical groves. With the area’s changing economic climate, the Tower... More
