The tower was initially built to view large citrus groves. The groves are no longer there. The views from the top of the tower are still spectacular.

My sister got married at the Valencia Room on the bottom floor of the Citrus Tower. It's a separate business that just rents out space in the building. Well my sister wanted to go up to the top of the tower to have pictures taken. When we got up there (only 4 people could go in the elevator at a... More

We take all guest to the Citrus Tower. it's an inexpensive way to see the beautiful area with its hills and lakes. The gift shop is nicely decorated and it it through the gift shop that you pay and enter the elevator to the top of the Tower. The history of the tower is outside of the gift shop.

My uncle moved to Clermont long before Disney descended. He first took us to the Citrus Tower in the '50s when it was a state of the art tourist site. It was surrounded by orange groves which cooler weather have frozen out largely now. It occupies "high" ground (remember that this is flat Florida) and stands 225 feet tall. You... More

On a clear day, you can see forever! A minimal fee allows you to ride the elevator to the top. Posted signs told you where different attractions or locations were. Interesting historical information about the demise of the citrus industry in Central Florida.

Up 226', you can see downtown Orlando buildings and more. It was a fantastic view on all four sides of the tower. Sadly, all or most of the citrus groves are gone by was of development, but it was still a sight to see.

This is a very inexpensive activity. Basically an elevator ride to the top of the tower where you can look out over what used to be citrus groves - now lots of houses and shopping centers. On a clear day you can see Orlando and Disney! There's a little gift shop as well.

Been past here a thousand times and never stopped. Looked up FCT history online and decided to stop today. Now I'm glad I did. Amazing views! It's the highest observation point in Florida. You can see Sugarloaf Mountain, Lake Apopka, even the Orlando skyline! My favorite part was the wishing well. Drop a coin in and listen to it fall... More
