Kudos for this well kept park. We enjoyed it for many reasons: the 3 mile scenic drive into the campground, the large acreage that made you feel anywhere but near Orlando, the birdwatching, the nice sites, the speedy check-in, and the hot water in the showers. Some of the sites are kept as first come, first serve, so we were... More

This is a very simple but clean and lovely state park with access to a chain of lakes including Lake Louisa. There is a nice beach for swimming (if you dare.. no lifeguard) and plenty of hiking trails (when its cooler), nice picnic areas and semi-primitive camping with electric, water and some sewer sites. Horseback riding trails as well. The... More

We were at the park for a triathlon and duathlon. The park personnel were very friendly and helpful. We paid $5 daily to park. The beach area was well maintained with a small playground and a bath house with showers and toilet facilities.

Excellent nature trails and peaceful place to visit and go for a walk. Lots of birds and insects to photograph. Costs $5 per car and you can return any time during that day.

We checked out this park because we knew it offered cabin rentals. The cabins are all located around a lake with loads if distance between them and they provide everything you would need, except food. RV section was a bit tight for larger rigs. Park is clean, and well maintained. Not many amenities, but there are many hiking trails, and... More

Our trip to Lake Louisa State Park was very enjoyable. Small fee to enter ($5.) The grounds are pristine and the views most beautiful. The fishing piers allowed a great view of the lakes and we actually saw an alligator floating peacefully in the lake. We drove through the campground and found it to be nice and clean. They do... I visited the park to watch my daughter compete in a triathlon. There were some trails to walk around but not a complete loop around the lake. Overall an "ok" spot but nothing to rave about. Look out for the stinging red ants - a real burning sensation.

This is probably one of the ugliest state parks we've ever seen. There are no great views or natural landmarks to enjoy and the water in the lake is a hideous brown. The park doesn't seem to have much in the way of amenities.

My family visited Lake Loiusa and really enjoyed the friendly person at the gate who welcomed us and provided some helpful suggestions on the best place to go with our one year old and dog, as this was our first visit. We parked at the beach lot and enjoyed a few of the short walking trails nearby. We also had... More

We were in the Orlando are for a Disney World vacation so the last day of our trip before surf lessons, I decided to run a 10K race that was held at Lake Louisa State Park. The run was held on some of the roads and trails located inside the park. The scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of... More
