As we are locals, we have been to the park multiple times and enjoy having a picnic on the beach side of the lake, as well as hiking along the miles of trails. Always kept very clean and the wild life is beautiful.

Lots to see and do, hiking, biking, swimming .....had a fabulous picnic in the shade at the beach. Great big restrooms and showers available. Sad to see so very few people there as a fabulous day out for the whole family, but really enjoyed the peace and quiet compared to the madness of the theme parks !!! Beware ......no shop... More

We took a short trip one afternoon to Lake Louisa State Park. It was worth a visit if only to see the incredible brown water in Lake Louisa. The water is brown because it is swamp fed and has a high concentration of tannic acid. It looks like tea - and is so warm! The park has several other lakes... More

This park has a swimming area on Lake Louisa. It also has a campground although there is not much shade around the campground. It also has cabins and a few fishing lakes with docks. It is good for hiking in sandy Florida terrain.

About as mountainous as it gets in Florida. Good camping sites. Cabins for those that can not camp. Nice hilly roads are fun. Hiking trails. Apparently horseback riding trails and horse friendly campground. The cabins are fairly well appointed but the bed was not all that comfortable.

We hired bikes from near the park entrance and cycled down to the beach for a swim. I really enjoyed the scenery, the ride was not too arduous and the swim at the end was very refreshing! A really pleasant day out for a good price.

The hiking was exciting, we saw all sorts of animals including deer and Hawks. The kayaking was very relaxing but I was also on edge as I'm from Ireland and not use to gators, but I loved every second of this state park.
