We dropped by here one day in march with my husband and little son! we were just expecting a small lake and park, however the place is vast and there is loads to do. You can fish, have a BBQ, go horse riding and even stay in the cabins. My son loved paddling in the water and we enjoyed our... More

We stayed at Lake Lousia State Park in Clermont, FL at the family campsite for a night. We only live 3 hrs away but wanted to try camping for the night. The campsite is shared with RVs and people who have cars and want to pitch a tent. They had an electrical hook up, a water pipe and a fire... More

We spent a day wandering around this park enjoying the vegetation and wildlife. The trails around Lake Louisa are particularly beautiful with all the cypress knees lining the wandering stream. There were lots of Gopher Tortoises digging nests along the side of the roads. We also saw deer and wild turkeys. I look forward to visiting this park again.

We usually visit like once a month. We try and do at least one of the nature trails and then go have a picnic by the canoe docks. Sometimes we take some stuff to grill for lunch other times we bring sandwiches. There is fishing, hiking, biking, horseback trails, and even a little beach there. Tons to do with the... More

Nice place to camp. Centrally located near towns, but still gives you the feeling of being out in the "boonies". Nice lakes to kayak/canoe on. Well kept park, nice docks on the smaller lakes and a man made beach on Lake Louisa. We have a trailer for camping, but cabins are available with a nice view of lake. Will return!!

We take our grandsons a few times a month to hike and run the great trails they have at the diversified park. There are biking trails, horseback riding trails, a beach on the lake with plenty of picnic tables everywhere. Just a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors, nature, and the people you're with. The best deal is to by... More

I went there for the day as a guest at a birthday party. The group had rented several cabins. They were huge! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, nice living area with fireplace, great kitchen, screened in porch, firepit, and a breath-taking view of the lake. We hiked some of the trails and went over to the beach. I especially loved the... More

We tent camped in site 27 of the family campground. Our site was very close to the fishing dock on a beautiful lake a only a few yards from the bathhouse. All of the sites were nice and level with plenty of space for a family of 4. The park was clean and quite. The bathrooms were spotless. The only... More

We love going to this park when we are in Florida, this time we did not see the turtles we normally see or any alligators, instead there was an Osprey nesting & various birds, kites / vultures + a deer walking through the woodland, so we had an enjoyable visit.

It had been about five years since I was last at this park, and it looks even better than before. Prior to being a park, much of the land was filled with orange groves. After removing most of the orange trees, the park rangers started a program to restore the park to a natural state. Pine trees that were just... More
