We visit here on a regular basis when were are in town. There is loads of space and you can be as near or as far away from others as you wish. A nice little beach, and plenty of trails. If you are a geocacher like us, there is plenty to find here as well.

This is a very large park with several lakes and campsites, areas for trailers, and places for people who come for the day who are not staying overnight. There is fishing from a dock on at least one of the lakes, swimming, and great sightseeing. You can see all sorts of animals, large and small - we saw a family... More

This is a great park for taking pictures. There are white sand beaches and lily pad covered lakes. There are many places for camping and the staff are really nice. I will say that there were signs every where about gators. There is a small playground area. The park is on the outskirts of Clermont off of 27, so there... More

This state park is great. It's got a lot of hills (rare for florida).. great to bike. Also a lot of trails and also opportunities to kayak or canoe. The campsites are pretty private and back up to nice preserves. A few sites even have sewer hookup. A lot of wildlife - always see deer, owls, snakes, and turtles. If... More

This park is my favorite. Great views and trails. Canoeing was fun and affordable. They also have cabins for rent that I would like to try in the future. This park is just BEAUTIFUL

A beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of theme parks and shopping malls. We rented a two-person kayak and had the lake virtually to ourselves. $15 for two hours. That's total cost not per person. $5 entry charge. Highly recommended

We went with my parents from CA and it was really nice. They had very clean facilities and you could cookout right at the lake. Great place to come during the summer for cookouts and hanging at the lake.

It has been awhile since we went, but we had a huge group who went to celebrate Easter. While trying to just enjoy a nice picnic, three of our eight cars were broken into. Windows smashed and everything they could get ahold of stolen. There were other cars also besides ours. The police were of no help at all. And... More

Our visit to this slice of undisturbed Florida was a fun, nature focused weekend. Largely augmented by the perfect fall temperatures it was an absolute pleasure to be outside. We rented the brand new bicycles from the ranger station and enjoyed the canoes on the pristine crystal clear lakes. Cabins are spacious with gas fireplaces, queen bedroom, and a second... More

You can easily spend a day here as there are many trails. When we visited we saw a group of deer feeding only 50 feet from the trail we were on. You will see all kinds of birds and butterflies. there are many picnic areas near the lakes and the tea coloured water of Lake Louisa is awesome. Give it... More
