great family park

If you are looking to take your family on a nature trip, this is the place to go. It is secluded and has excellent accommodations if you are looking for a place to stay.

We went up for a day trip and enjoyed the day. There are many hiking and bike trails. Lots of lakes and is very nice.

Had a great day hiking with my husband in Lake Louisa State Park. Very clean. Trails well marked. We ate our lunch at the lake and had a wonderful time. Definitely worth a trip to the lake when in the area

We stayed at Lake Louisa in March hoping for cooler weather turns out was about 80 degrees but at night it cooled down. We stayed in cabin 12 which is on the lake in the middle. The view from cabin 14 does not have any obstructive views as far as trees but we would not have seen the nest for... More

We came here to eat lunch and ride our bicycles. There are some fairly good size hills between the lakes but manageable. The views at the lakes were very beautiful. The park is so large that even when a lot of people are there (like on weekends), it still didn't seem crowded. We went on a day that they were... More

The park always provides us with an escape from the chaos. It's just a short drive from all the tourism and is very peaceful. Make sure you take a GPS device if you get lost in the woods easily :) There's bottled water available at the Ranger's station. I would recommended to pack enough drinks and a few snacks if... More

Beautiful state park. They have camping there and cabin rentals. The lakes are Georgeous. I loved the moss trees and the different looking pine cones. There was a beach and benches. Cool place.

Really enjoyed this park and would certainly return. I hold out on giving parks 5 stars if they don't offer wifi (I am not just camping, I am living in my RV half time, and wifi is a very good ammenity). We camped in a travel trailer in site 57 C. Very nice site. Private enough. Large. Bathrooms were great,... More

Visited this park the other afternoon. I'm staying in Clermont and was looking for something to kill a couple hours while giving me a chance to play with my camera. No complaints about this park. It was nice to spend some time wandering through it's many paths in search of nature and wildlife. It seemed very well maintained and not... More

Campsites are open and somewhat separated. Lots of wildlife (wild turkeys, tortosies, armadillos and a osprey nest near a lake walkway). Close enough to town to provide shopping/gas, etc. Very peaceful in March with mostly snowbirds and a few spring breakers. Biking is OK and lake beach swimming area is great for kids. Did not get to kayak this time... More
