We stayed in the park cabins on Dixie Lake and spent a day exploring some of the park. We hiked a few trails and they were well marked. The trail map has a series of numbers that are also on the trail signs which make it easy to locate your position. We spent some time fishing off of the piers... More

I indadvertently entered this park, having it confused with another one I had read about. I decided to drive through anyhow, since I already paid the $5 car admission. It was mostly campsites for primitive camping as well as RV camping, but also included fishing spots, and canoe rental. Beautiful somewhat hilly for FL, quiet ride off the beaten path.... More

we visited over the Christmas period to get away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. What a find! Lovely tranquil place with beautiful scenery. I would imagine going in the summer would be a different experience with humidity and Mosquitos, but would highly recommend in the cooler weather if you like nature and peace

If you are looking to take your family on a nature trip, this is the place to go. It is secluded and has excellent accommodations if you are looking for a place to stay.

We went up for a day trip and enjoyed the day. There are many hiking and bike trails. Lots of lakes and is very nice.

Had a great day hiking with my husband in Lake Louisa State Park. Very clean. Trails well marked. We ate our lunch at the lake and had a wonderful time. Definitely worth a trip to the lake when in the area

We stayed at Lake Louisa in March hoping for cooler weather turns out was about 80 degrees but at night it cooled down. We stayed in cabin 12 which is on the lake in the middle. The view from cabin 14 does not have any obstructive views as far as trees but we would not have seen the nest for... More

We came here to eat lunch and ride our bicycles. There are some fairly good size hills between the lakes but manageable. The views at the lakes were very beautiful. The park is so large that even when a lot of people are there (like on weekends), it still didn't seem crowded. We went on a day that they were... More

The park always provides us with an escape from the chaos. It's just a short drive from all the tourism and is very peaceful. Make sure you take a GPS device if you get lost in the woods easily :) There's bottled water available at the Ranger's station. I would recommended to pack enough drinks and a few snacks if... More
