Ruth Eckerd Hall's near perfect acoustics have received rave reviews...

Ruth Eckerd Hall's near perfect acoustics have received rave reviews from artists, technicians and audience members since opening in 1983. Combined with state of the art equipment, comfortable amenities and world class entertainment, it's no wonder that it has been recognized as one of Tampa Bay's best concert halls numerous times as well as a finalist for Pollstar's Theater of the Year twice. In 2003, the Hall's audience chamber received a complete refurbishment, its 2,180 seats were reconfigured to accommodate more patrons with disabilities, and lobby and restrooms were expanded.Ruth Eckerd Hall has continental-style seating. Almost every patron prizes a center seat and continental-style provides the maximum possible. There are no support columns, no obstructed views. Seating is sloped and staggered. For safety and comfort, the aisle space is wider than traditional layouts; entry and exit can be made while patrons remain seated. There are 14 sets of double doors leading out from the audience chamber. With this configuration, a full house can be cleared in a matter of minutes.Among the original community leaders who conceptualized building a performing arts center this side of Tampa Bay, was Jack Eckerd. During construction, Mr. Eckerd designated a significant contribution as a birthday gift to his beloved wife, Ruth, making the dream a reality. The Hall proudly bears her name.

Great Place for Concerts

I've seen a few bands here and the sound quality and acoustics are really good. The seating gives everyone a very good view of the stage.

We have been members here, for years. The venue is excellent in most aspects; free general parking, snacks and drinks available for sales and allowed in the auditorium, easy to navigate and more restrooms added. The seats and leg room, however, could be better; after the glorious remodel years ago, seating became more cramped with the seats themselves, smaller. Don't... More

Seating was good. You could see from every seat. Getting out of the parking lot was terrible! Very long wait, they need another exit or better traffic flow.

Great venue. Easy parking, well organized, nice staff. Flow in and out was easy. The seats were comfortable and aisles were wide enough to walk though. The beers could be cheaper...but that's true of all beer everywhere!

Smaller venue with great views. Sound was excellent. Drinks are offered in lobby. All seats have a good view of stage.

My son (16) and I enjoyed a concert there. Plenty of free parking. Safe environment. We had 2 seats in YY. Great view but I don't think there's a bad seat in there.

My 16 year old and I attended a Counting Crows-Hollis Brown-Citizen Cope Meet & Greet/dinner package@ Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater Florida. Organized, calm, and friendly with CD, and the performances were all fantastic. I was so pleased with this 9 hr. package of sound check, picture with band , dinner and music , that I have to recommend it... More

Excellent facility, wonderful staff to provide seating and food, and most of all terrific talent being offered on a regular basis. Only complaint would be the parking and traffic jam trying to exit the lot after the show.

We saw Bill Burr here and had an amazing time. We did the VIP dinner spiel beforehand, which was an decent buffet and then had great seats in the 5th row of the auditorium. The staff is always very nice and accommodating. I know that there is more than one drink cart, but I feel that they could benefit from... More

Good Hall for shows and concerts. Not a bad seat in the house ,but all the rows are long and you have to stand up for people that are go past you.
