Great for kiacking, beautiful streams leading a senic path through over hanging tree and lots of bird wildlife and visable fish in the water. Very relaxing even when we paddled past an alligator sunny on the banks. No charge to use the park and has biking trails in the shade, plenty of parking, bathrooms and picnic tables and grills set up. Well... More

You would never find this park if you weren't looking for it, however it is a half day well spent! The animals at this park are cared for impeccably and are unable to be released back in to the wild due to injuries. They live a very good life here. The park's manager has been here for many, many years... More

Moccasin Lake Nature Park is centrally located in Clearwater, near US 19. Cliff Stevens Disc Golf Park is right next to it. The park has a variety of "residents" which have been injured, mostly birds of prey, and live there where you can see them up close and personal. I've been taking my kids there since they were toddlers -... More

Nice, Beautiful, Quaint park. Great Old Florida with wonderful hiking trails which lead out to an expansive lake with a lookout tower. Gators, Turtles and many species of birds can be seen daily!

This park is awesome and is tucked away in a very unsuspecting spot in a busy city. Surrounded by a frisbee golf course, and another city park, Mocassin Lake Park is just the spot to enjoy what nature has to offer. There're several birds of prey on display in outdoor aviaries, and handlers there during certain times of the day... More

Lovely free nature trail with few people visiting it. Nice staff who teach you about the birds and wildlife. The trail is covered by many beautiful trees. I just moved here from Colorado so was quite happy about this find!

Our daughter and family live in Clearwater. While visiting over the Christmas holidays, we went visited here What a great day we had. There were hawks, vultures, snakes, owls and an eagle. The pathways work great. The grandkids love to explore all through the woods. And to top it all off… It was free.

This is a very large park, great for hiking through the woods. They also have a few rescued animals (including two eagles). The staff here are very knowledgable about the animals and plants that occupy this park. There is also a lake at this park where you often see birds of varying kinds. Amazing to know that is very near... More

As of May 1, 2014, it's free admission! A surprising nature break in one of the most developed counties in Florida. Crushed shell hiking trails through 51 natural acres, and a care and exhibit center for permanently injured wildlife. We were lucky when we were there, they were working with some hawks for their educational programs and we got an... More
