We stayed at the Marriott Clearwater and so appreciated the fact that they shuttle you over to the Beach. The Beach is huge, long and wide! I have to say the sand has a lot of crushed shells in, so not the most comfortable to walk on. There are Umbrellas and Loungers to rent for $20 a day. Their is... More

Get away from the more crowded tourist Clearwater Beach section, head over the bridge to Sand Key Park. Yes, there's a parking fee as there in all parking lots near beaches now but if you stay for 3 hours or more, then it will be worth it. There are plenty of bathroom facilities and places to wash yourself off. You... More

My husband and I went to the beach the last Saturday in March. We hadn't been here in a couple of years and things seemed the same as in the past. There are pay stations - you pay one flat rate for the entire day. There are buildings with restrooms and changing facilities. Lots of families go to this beach.... More

This park is next door to the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. We walked along the beach and then around the salt water marshes. The variety of palm trees makes it interesting. The trails have benches and some areas are shaded. A lovely way to spend an hour or two.

Good parking on a wide beach by the Sheraton Hotel. Easier access than any where over the causeway in Clearwater, although they do charge for parking. Pop across the road to the Marriott for a beer via the Sand Key shopping complex. A few good little shops there, plus Columbia Restaurant.

Great beach for families. Has umbrella and chair rentals available for $25 for the day. No alcohol allowed, so it's very nice for kids. Sand and water are all very clean. They changed the parking fee structure finally. Instead of having to purchase coins to park for so many hours, it's now $5 for the entire day. That's a huge... More

It was pretty chilly the day we stopped here so there were not too many people, but they have several different parking lots so there is AMPLE parking. Also a couple different buildings with bathrooms and several trails to the actual beach. The north end of the park is at the inlet to the bay so you can see the... More
