Skip Clearwater beach unless you're a teen!

This is a beautiful place to sun and enjoy the surf, plus a lot cheaper to park - only $5. It's about a mile from the main entrance to Clearwater beach.

We loved this park and had a great time gathering shells on the beach. There was a nice variety of them and the water wasn't too cold to be walking in at that time.

I took a daytrip to see Clearwater Beach because of its positive reviews. Getting there in season was a hassle and the parking lots were full by 9:30AM so I gave up and headed south. Within a couple of miles, I saw a sign for Sand Key Park and turned in. Although it's not the prettiest beach of the many... More

This is my favorite beach spot for a day. It is the same beach as clearwater but with less people and cheaper parking..If you like the beach without the loads of people this is your spot.

I've been to Clearwater many times and I never felt like paying to park for beach access when I could go elsewhere. This time I went and was glad we did. $5.00 to park for the day. We walked along the beach and collected some nice shells with barely anyone on the beach. At the edge facing Clearwater Beach are... More

Ran from the Holiday Inn & Suites over the bridge and through the park. Excellent non-flat run. The park appeared to be clean and had activities for all.

Exploring the beaches and Clearwater by car and came upon this beach. I would have expected it to be crowded on a weekend with nice sunny weather. Not so. Few people on the beach and parking lot was empty. How nice! Beach is wide with chairs and umbrella rental. Food truck there too. Very quiet and calming, unlike Clearwater beach... More

Nice park with lots to do. There are cycle/walking trail, playgrounds and picnic tables. There is also access to the beach. NOTE: you do have to pay for parking

Great beach, definitely less crowded then Clearwater beach and has AMPLE space, umbrellas for rent, etc. Sand is not as soft as clearwater, consists of tiny shells, but it's fine to walk on. I would not plan on eating at all on this beach though! In the short time I was there, a seagull attempted to take a baby bottle... More
