Sand Key Park is within easy walking distance of anywhere in Clearwater Beach - it is just south of the bridge that is at the south end of Clearwater Beach. The park entrance is on the west just after the bridge. It is nice and quiet, with some short walking trails, multiple points of beach access, water bird wildlife and... More

Took the Fla. Free ride service there. They work for tips! We got there early to find good shells & we did just that. We walked to the end near the jetties & took a blanket. My daughter took a nap & I went shelling! A few people walking, fishing & shelling. If you drive prepare to pay to park! It's... More

The location is key, especially if you coming from the South and don't have to go through the busy tourist area at Pier 60. This park is nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and Clearwater Pass. You can picnic in the shade, reserve a pavilion or call it a beach day, it's all there for your enjoyment. The facilities are... More

Tranquility at its finest, beautiful sand, and very laid back. A MUST see. Voted one of the top beaches in the country.

Sand Key Park is a family friendly beach. If you are staying on the mainland you can still come here for parking cost only. Just so you know they enforce the no alcohol policy here. It is 2 miles South of Clearwater Beach. And just North of the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. Well maintained and sturdy grills. Bring plenty of... More

A high level bridge connects South Beach on Clearwater Island with Sand Key. You can cross the bridge on foot, by bike (great cardio work-outs) or by car. Just past the bridge, you'll find Sand Key Park. There's lots of parking, but, bring $ for the parking meters if you drive to the Park. (There's another bridge from Sand Key... More

Sand Key Park is good alternative if you want something less commercialised parking for $5 is OK. The beach is not as clean as Clearwater but is a more natural beach with bits of weed etc. The sand is not as fine and soft but OK

Very nice park, along the gulf and the inlet to the bay. Enjoyed sunset with friends and family. Also, fished the inlet and enjoyed watching boats enter the bay. Plenty of parking, and $5 a day is reasonable. Good facilities, walking paths, etc.

Worth the bit of travel past the hub-bub of popular Clearwater Beach. Sand Key Park has consessions, grills, shelters and a dog park. The beach is nice and wide.

When seeking a calm, relaxing beach that is both great for a walk or sunbathing or taking a dip in the gulf, my husband and I are always delighted with a visit to Sand Key Park. Thus county run park is just over the Sand Key Bridge from Clearwater Beach. We especially live the quieter beach away from some of... More
