I was so happy that I was staying by this park so that we could do some walking! But there were too many mosquitos :( Very disappointed!

Sand Key Park is just south of Clearwater Beach (over the Sand Key Bridge) and offers wonderful, much less crowded beach experience for families...just walk a few minutes south from the public beach entrance and you have all the space you want. Water sports like jet-skis, canoes etc. available for rental, food & drinks available for purchase from beach vendors... More

Beautiful beach and water. Clean, not crowded and convenient. The park facilities were well maintained. For the $5 all day parking, probably the best value of the week. Close access to the jetty and channel exiting Clearwater beach provided great scenary of the Parasails, charters and pleasure boats.

good if you want a little less crowded. you can hear the night clubs in the evening and the do have event tents on the beach so you don't have a clear view depending where you sit The Park itself is nice, with trails , picnic tables and a dog park

Visited here recently on a day where it rained off and on. Went by Clearwater Beach wall to wall people. Pay $5 to park here only a couple miles away and a lot less people on Sand Key. Nice beach well maintained with restrooms. If you like it less crowded this is the place to go. There is a little... More

By the sounds of other reviews, maybe we went on a particularly bad day. But this beach had small garbage washed up on it. Not gross garbage, but lots of plastic pieces from milk and water type bottles. The water was super murky and very rough. We did not like the beach at all. Maybe it was just a windy... More

The sand here is not as good as it is at Clearwater Beach, but the crowds were thinner and the water was just as good. There is a food truck and rental truck to supply your needs. The rain ran us off, but I really want to make a return trip one day.

Sand Key Park is a large park with a large beach. You can picnic under a pavilion, walk the trails and watch beautiful sunsets. It has a dog park for the animal lovers divided for large and small dogs. I have been here several times and like that its not so crowded. Its a bit of a walk to the... More

The sunsets, seashells, clear Gulf waters and clean beach all make this one of my favorite places! Parking is only $5 for the entire day or obtain a year-long pass for more frequent visits. Wonderful to visit anytime of the year.
