Sand Key Park is a hidden gem! UNIQUE and not many people there! The Beaches and water is 'AWESOME" - clean, clear refreshing ocean at it'[s BEST!

Sand Key is the Bay's very own Barrier Island. it was featured in Magic Mike, and is actually a lot nicer than they present it. You have to have boat access to get here, but it's a nice place to hang out for a summer afternoon.

This lovely state park closes at dusk and doesn't allow alcohol - for those of us who want to bring families or just enjoy a nice day shelling or relaxing, this is the place to be. Best beach, best location, near everything...and it's public, with lots of parking. That's rare in Clearwater.

It would be nice to have an hourly parking fee; we came here in the evening and parking lot was empty. A few cars came and drove away as we did. $5 for the whole day is good, but not for an hour.

It was beautiful. Very nice beach, beautiful water and plenty of arking for a small charge. $5.00 - I hope to visit again.

This beach is not too busy and perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The water is nice and warm too. Great for relaxing and sunbathing, as well as a nice walk on the beach or a picnic with a loved one! One thing to keep in mind... make sure everything is out of your pockets before you go into the water...... More

Spent a day here. Beach is of the type with broken shell pieces rather than the "sugar sand" very white of Clearwater beach. It is fine to walk on and play on. Had one guy renting unbrellas, beach chairs and running the snack bar out of a trailer. If you are hungry you may need to track the one guy... More

We LOVE this beach. It is a gorgeous park, with walking, beach, bird watching, etc. The entire family would enjoy this one!
