This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. It is located on the west coast about two hours from Orlando, half hour from downtown Tampa. If travelling from the Tampa area there is a lot of highway development work which could increase travel time. If using your own vehicle yo have to pay for parking. Cost is less... More

On a recent trip to Tampa we spend an evening down at Clearwater beach. Overall the experience was really nice. When we arrived we did have a little trouble finding a spot but after a few laps of the parking lot at the north end of the beach we were able to find a spot. When we go the beach... More

The beautiful powder white sand, warm, clear water, and minimal waves make this one of my favorite beaches EVER!! I LOVE Clearwater Beach!! There's almost nowhere to park that you don't have to pay, so be prepared.

Stunning beach with beautiful clean white sands. Very worth a visit to this area of Florida which I feel outshines Miami Beach. Great shade provision as you can hire a brolly or mini tent for $15 with 2 chairs.

The beaches were big with bright white soft sand. The gulf was beautiful. No real waves. There are plenty of public beach area if your not staying at hotel. Did not see life guards. Plenty of rentals for jet skis and para sailing. Sunsets are wonderful

Nice beach, but there was a lot of seaweed in the water the day we went. Get there early if you want space near front of the water otherwise plenty of space for everyone...but it does get crowded. What i loved about this beach was lifeguards on site. Restrooms available.

Parking by the beach was very convenient but expensive at $20 followed by $25 for a parasol and chairs. As it was such a hot day we needed the shade. The beach was busy but didn't feel crowded and was very clean. We arrived at 10am on a Sunday and plenty of parking. Pick up a free map for some... More

Really nice Beach, very well kept, we spent 4 days here. They have great restaurants with nice local delicacies. You can walk to just about anywhere. Great Sunsets, love that they put out all the umbrellas and chairs for tourists. Everything you want to do is here. The only downsides are it is a bit too touristy and the water... More

all day, every day. I prefer the quieter North beach but the South beach has a lot more action and is busier.
