This place is home to Hope the dolphin from the movie "dolphin tail" It is interesting to see conservation in action and how they care for the turtles and other animals in the florida region. The entry price was good value for money and the films were very interesting. I would say that unless you've seen the film i wouldnt... More

We love dolphins but we won't be back to see Rufus or Dolphins. We missed the last Dolphin show due to a GoPro Stick camera and asked prior to our arrival. We spent the whole day with no problems until we got asked to come to the customer service office which it all got cleared up and its a new... More

We had a nice visit with our kids. The site is truly remarkable and they do great work - however firmly believe they should change the name of their establishment to avoid confusion and negative reviews by setting proper expectations for visitors. I would not call this an aquarium. It is more of a rescue and rehabilitation center. When reading... More

My daughter had a fantastic experience during our visit to CMA earlier this week. She joined the "Trainer for a Day" with the dolphins and otters. This is an educational facility rather than a theme park, however, you will learn alot with respect to marine habitat and awareness to the animals rescue and rehab. Definitely will recommend to others who... More

I watched dolphin tale 1&2, so while we were visiting Orlando we took a trip to the aquarium to see winter and hope. It cost way to much to get in for waft is there. Winter and hope were separated in a swimming pool. They use these to dolphins in a terrible way. The trainer just gets into the water... More

We went to this aquarium because of the movies. The price was very reasonable. We even got a boat ride out of the deal, so that was nice.

For their spring break, my boys wanted to see Winter. Tampa has a Citypass for this and other attractions. I like to plan my vacations out. Pick out the most important thing and plan around it. I did research on the website, they had a one on one experience with Winter. Scheduled it out a month in advance and paid... More

I wasn't too impressed by this aquarium. The advertising done for this place makes it seem like it's some great, magical place, but it ended up being a sort of boring zoo with minimal animals even on display. All of the animals looked miserable. The nicest part about it was the Dolphin Tale exhibit where it showed props from the... More

We are sorry to hear your experience was not ideal. Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a working marine animal hospital. All of the residents at our facility were rescued and for medical reasons, were deemed non-releasable. Our goal for all rescued animals is rehabilitation and ultimately release. Although we recognize this limits of our facility, we strive to exceed industry standards... More

This was well worth the cost for sure. We took our granddaughter (who had been waiting a long time to see Winter and Hope). She loved every minute. You can watch the two dolphins as long as you want and the handlers are so good at explaining everything they are doing to keep Winter healthy. The other good part of... More

Everybody loves Winter the dolphin, but unfortunately Winter deserves a much better environment than this former sewage plant on Island Estates in Clearwater. Overly ambitious plans to build a huge facility in downtown Clearwater fell through the cracks (as it should have), but fortunately plans are in the works to upgrade the Island Estates aquarium. That will hopefully allow for... More
