This is a great place becuz unlike other marine acquariums it is a rehab facility for injured animals & 100% of the admission goes back to the animals. There have sting ray petting, Winter & Hope the dolphins who were stranded or orphaned, sea turtles etc. many educational programs & kids can learn about conservation. This is a pro animal... More

My family of 5 (including 3 teenage boys) enjoyed the aquarium. However, parking was very difficult (too crowded so we had to park in the overflow lot), and we felt it was expensive for the experience. My 16 year old said, "Mom, this was a shrine for little girls who love dolphins." A/C was available in limited areas and my... More

This aquarium is okay, it is not what we expected. It is much smaller, and the dolphin enclosures aren't very appealing-I was hoping for so much more. Meeting the famous dolphin was awesome! This is home to the dolphin which was portrayed in the movie.

The aquarium is obviously a must-see if your child is a huge Dolphin Tale fanatic. Ours weren't but they were interested as they love dolphins in general. So if you go, go in with the mindset this is an animal rescue facility that lets you in to see some of the animals. If you go expecting to see the gloss... More

A must-see for Dolphin Tale fans and animal lovers alike. This aquarium is neither big, nor fancy, but from the moment we walked in the door I had the feeling that we were experiencing something bigger than any Sea World show. While open to the public every day, what you are experiencing is a living, working animal hospital. It's inspiring... More

They are great with the animals, clean, very educational and they provide a free boat ride or trolley ride to the other facility and bring you back for free.

It was amazing to see the dolphin, Winter, who does not have a tail and yet has learned to swim - a little different from the other dolphin. And with her prosthetic tail swims like the other dolphin. Also enjoyed seeing the otter who has no use of his back legs because of a back injury, and the pelicans from... More

We headed over to Clearwater Marine Aquarium August 22, 2014. I have read all the posts on here complaining about the facilities etc. However, knowing that this is a NON-PROFIT agency whose main objective is rehabilitating animals should be a good indication it isn't an animal entertainment attraction like Sea World. We purchased the VIP package for a family of... More

My family and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon in the stifling August heat, ready to take in what we had read about this aquarium. Our first clue that the visit would be less than thrilling was the entrance to the park: upon receiving our arm bands, we walked about 10 feet and were hit by the stench of the... More

It was nice for the kids to see Winter and Hope after seeing the movie. The aquarium is worth a visit, especially if you get the Tampa City Pass. Free boat or trolley shuttle to Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure where they have the movie props and a fun hurricane simulation from the movie that the kids loved. Boat shuttle over... More
