We visited on a weekday in early May, very late morning, and there were only a couple of other cars in the parking lot. In the quiet, the birds and frogs were singing. The spring itself was uncannily gorgeous, the water crystal clear, the colors hardly to be believed. We took the beautiful boardwalk trail which follows the spring run... More

Just a nice park for family, swimming, kids play area, concession stand, hiking, fishing and more. I bring grandchildren and company here many times throughout the year. More

We camped here for 4 nights. Our camp site was very nice, with a soft, sandy ground. It was relatively private, but only a 1-2 minute walk to the bathrooms. We had a picnic table, fire pit, electrical outlet, and water. There were poles for tieing up clothes lines. We saw several deer during our stay, and they were quite... More

Wow! We just returned from camping here for 4 nights and were pleasantly surprised. I would say that our week of Feb. 19-23 was perfect for wildlife viewing, weather, and no crowds. The kids loved swimming in the springs (in bathing suits w/t-shirts). We saw plenty of deer, 11 manatees, hundreds of buzzards, a raccoon and many other birds. I... More

Manatee Springs State Park was almost an afterthought, we saw that it was on our route just a little ways from Cedar Key and decided to stop by. A lovely place, it is well kept and there is a very nice boardwalk for those who do not wish to do actual hiking. We saw a great deal of wildlife along... More

We have been to this campground twice now and will definatlely go back. The spring is beautiful (and cold!). If you go in the warm months there is a lot of swimming in the spring especially on the weekend when the day visitors are there. Also, in the warmer months the fireflys at night are amazing....the woods twinkle with hundreds... More

The campgrounds is kind of primitive but with power, water, sewer the sites are very over grown. The roads you have to be very careful as drive through the campground the road is dirt and getting over growin, but the sites are still nice. The washrooms where clean. The springs and the walk way out to the river are realy nice and the... More
