We love Cedar Key and rarely find anything to complain about except for the occasional cold weather in March. Very dog friendly with multiple scooper bag dispensers scattered all over the place. Interesting choices in food, with none of it being too expensive. The visitors center is well worth a visit to learn some of the history of the area... More

We have had Cedar Key on our bucket list for a long time. It looks so much better in the pictures. the water is murky and most of the restaurants were not open for us for lunch in August. Parking was hard to find considering not much was open. Save your time and go north or south to see a... More

Cedar Key was listed in multiple on-line sites as being in the top 3 shelling beaches in Florida. Not true unless you want oyster and clam shells. No shells to be found. Quaint town with some nice restaurants. Definitely stay near the harbor area. Everything will be within walking distance.

Very energetic staff member but not much free information available. I believe I did better just getting info from the website..

We went there to explore the island and the area. We weren't dissapointed. The people at the Chamber were very friendly and helpful, leaving no questions unanswered. The local hotels and restraunts were all pretty good, but a little pricy. We had a lot of fun. It was like turning the clock back 50 years. What a blast.

Cedar Key is a quiet little island off the west coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. It's a total change from your normal everyday rat race. You can rent golf carts to get around the island on which are solar powered so your not wasting gas. Several good restaurants on bay front that serve a variety of foods... More

We stopped off for information and learned a lot more. By far, it was the best maintained and cleanest place we visited.
