Seeing all the major rockets used in the space race was interesting but there is much more to do here. It might have been different if we had taken the guided tour.

To stand at the foot f so many historic and famous rockets side by side was inspiring, Living History is always better than books and films

There are a number of rockets to see. The size of them is amazing. Different sorts of rockets and capsuls to see and sit in even a walk way to the rockets to walk across.

How great to see all of the rockets I'd read about as a boy, there planted in the ground before me to soar high above. And with mock-ups for the kids to climb in you get a real feel for how it was for those first astronauts to be cooped up in those rattle cones for their orbits never knowing... More

This is near the entrance of Kennedy Space center, can not miss it. Its a place where a lot of rockets have been well placed , with lots of information & very good to take pictures near them. Most of the place is an open area & advisable to go well prepared with hats & sunglasses

Seating is at a premium, but the cost of the food isn't like a usual 'themed' area. The food was good and very reasonably priced.

This well layed out space was very interesting, but make sure you have a hat as it is entirely in an open space with no shade.

The rocket garden has several rockets with information boards. You can go inside a couple of them to get an idea what it feels like to sit where astronauts have been. There are a few picnic benches nearby so it would be a nice place to stop for lunch or a break and for children there is an undercover play... More

Photos and videos are one thing, but to really appreciate the early launch systems (okay, rockets...), one has to see them up-close and first-hand; there on the left after one enters the front gates of the KSC visitors complex. Most of the rockets are upright; the "small" Saturn I-B is on its side toward the back (ah, the irony: the... More
