Nice little neighborhood park...but the water view is partially obstructed with brush/trees making it difficult to spot manateees. Nice spot for picnic lunch.
We took a ride down here while staying at the Country Inn & Suites. We actually could have walked it was that close. Well-maintained and clean park. The is an exercise trail w/various workouts at different stations which was pretty cool. We really wanted to see some manatees though and unfortunately we didn't. This would be a great park to... We stopped here on our way back to Orlando, after spending the day at the beach. It was beautiful! There was no one else there when we first arrived, it was so peaceful. There is a covered walkway that follows along the water with many trees, some of which block the view of the water. Which I didn't mind, but... More
The park was nice but the weather was too windy to see the manatees or the dolphins. It was still a nice place to see other animals out in the river though and we enjoyed seeing the different birds and fish off the nicely place and conveniently covered patio.
My family and I visited the park in hopes of seeing manatees. No luck there, but it is a nice little park. It is very clean and well maintained with a large boardwalk along the shore, horseshoe pits, picnic tables and a wonderful shelter house. There is also a .5 mile life trail with several exercise stations. There is plenty... More

We went on this excursion thru our cruise line. They take you out on 2 person kayaks. The guides were very nice and really want to help you see a Manatee. It is a very peaceful, relaxing excursion. The water is very shallow at most points. The Manatees were not really showing themselves. We mostly saw little noses coming up... More
The title sums it up. Children will probably be bored, but this was in walking distance from the Residence Inn, and a great place to hang out for a few in the morning.
Very clean and well maintained park, definitely go through the fence gate to get closer to the water for wildlife viewing.
oops... wish I was more certain of the exact name... I attended a park ranger guided tour of the loggerhead turtle habitat. A group met at the visitors center as it closed, and a ranger gave a talk on the status of sea turtles. Then we caravaned to the beach where a spotter had already located a loggerhead in the... More
