Very well maintained park with a walking track . Quiet coast line area. sitting benches, small covered area to sit in the shade and rest with a view of the inlet bay. Never saw any manatees though. Nice restrooms and a pavilion. Have no idea if it can be reserved or not. all in all, nothing special, but if you are... More

We went to the MANATEE sanctuary on Merritt Island to see wild free manatees. There were three or four in the water and all near enough to see. They seemed quite friendly for wild animals and it was a surprising experience

We expected to see manatees here but did not get lucky on our visit. The park was lovely though, very well kept and pretty. It had a boardwalk area which would have been a good spot to see manatees. There was also fitness trails around the park and plenty of space to sit and relax or have a picnic.

We drove 14 hours through the night and arrived to Cape Canaveral 4 hours before our cruise ship embarked. After a quick breakfast, we decided to check out the Manatee Sanctuary Park we had heard about. I think most of us were expecting manatees in captivity that were rehabilitating from injuries (we clearly had read no reviews ourselves), but what... More

The park is very well taken care of an beautiful. The platforms were built to view manatees and dolphins nearby. You have to be patient and sometimes watch for a while. The manatees don't come up very long but they are neat to see. Don't bother with taking the path on the outside of the gate to go to the... More

Saw the sign for this small park by accident. Stopped by at 4pm and walked up to the boardwalk. We instantly started seeing manatee. Some as close as 10 feet from land. It was hard to tell how many were there altogether, but there were a lot. Saw a couple of dolphin as well. This was a truly magnificent afternoon.... More

Was so cool to see the playful animals in the water and in such a beautiful peaceful setting. We saw many in July, but if you are along the Banana River and you take the time you can see them all along it.

No Manatee sightings for us. Not much else to see here, but worth a very quick visit just in case. It is not hard to find and not out of the way, so it is worth a try!
