You can see lots of manatee here. You cant feed them or get in the water with them but seeing the beautiful graceful creature is enough. If you wanna swim with them you can at Crystal River but that's 4 hours away. This is a great choice and there is fishing pier close by too. wish id had my rod... More

I was visiting the area and went here early one morning to see some local birds and manatees. This is a nice little park with some good playground and exercise equipment as well. I was able to see one manatee from the observation deck, and about 30 species of birds within about 30 minutes. It was under some construction, but... More

Very peaceful cove/park where we did spot a manatee leisurely swimming. Was spotted within two minutes of standing on the observation deck. Designated area for parking on grass as parking lot under construction. Was worth the trip.

We saw no manatees at the Manatee Sanctuary Park. However, a park ranger was very helpful to tell us to drive south on A1A two stop lights from the park and turn on Center street to the right. At the end of the road we were delighted and greatly entertained by numerous manatee and dolphin playing close to the shore.... More

We went to this park before driving back home from our cruise. It is a short drive from Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach. The park is well maintained and the bathroom facilities were clean. It was a 90+ degree day so we initially stayed under the covered sections of the boardwalk for about 30 minutes in hopes of seeing a... More

There is a review already on trip advisor -- here's the link with great directions http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g34145-c111541/Cocoa-Beach:Florida:Manatee.Santuary.Park.Free.Fun.html ... the only difference in finding the 'cove' is this: they put up a chain link fence. Open the gate (it's not locked) and go left on the path to the end of the water (you know it's the right path because it's the... More

Very well maintained park with a walking track . Quiet coast line area. sitting benches, small covered area to sit in the shade and rest with a view of the inlet bay. Never saw any manatees though. Nice restrooms and a pavilion. Have no idea if it can be reserved or not. all in all, nothing special, but if you are... More

We went to the MANATEE sanctuary on Merritt Island to see wild free manatees. There were three or four in the water and all near enough to see. They seemed quite friendly for wild animals and it was a surprising experience

We expected to see manatees here but did not get lucky on our visit. The park was lovely though, very well kept and pretty. It had a boardwalk area which would have been a good spot to see manatees. There was also fitness trails around the park and plenty of space to sit and relax or have a picnic.
