Manatee Sanctuary Park boasts over 10 acres of riverfront beauty.

Situated on the Banana River, this park has a little something for everyone!

  4 Horseshoe Pits

1/2 Mile Paved Fitness Trail

10 Exercise Stations

Covered Riverside Boardwalk

Picnic Tables & Grills

Covered Pavilion with Basic Kitchen (Available for daily Rentals & Private Events)

& Even the OCCASIONAL Manatee!

Manatee Sanctuary Park is home to the annual Cape Canaveral Founder's Day Festival every March & Space Coast Dragon Boat Festival every April!

This park is named Manatee Sanctuary because it borders a section of the Banana River that serves as a protected Manatee habitat. While we cannot guarantee that you will see a manatee during your visit, these beautiful creatures have been known to come and feed off the sea grass along the boardwalk. Manatees enjoy warm waters and typically move to inland springs during the winter months. They are considered an endangered species and fall under highly protective legislation. To learn more about these amazing animals, including where to see them year round, please visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission website.

This is a pretty park in a suburban neighborhood. It is a large green space with an artificial lake next to a waterway. A few simple exercise machines are scattered about. There is a paved walkway winding through the grass. People were pushing baby carriages or walking and jogging on them. There is a raised wooden walkway along the open... More

We walked to the park from the Radisson so I could do a little geocaching. Very pretty park. Was hoping to see some manatees. None there, but there were lots of butterflies. Enjoyed the walk around the park.

Small park on the inland waterway that provides great views for sunsets. That have a small wooden walkway along the water and lots of photographers where there last time for the sunset.

Pleasant and relaxing park, one can walk around and use their light exercise equipment. Boardwalk allows visitors to watch the wildlife in the river. They have a pavillon too where one can host events. Interesting sculptures include one of sea turtles which will appease those looking for an artistic flair. Something for all ages to enjoy, there's even geocaches in... More

We found this park by mistake while driving around the area. It was quit and peaceful. It was created to bring awareness of protection of the manatee and loggerhead turtles. We saw a rainbow while there just before leaving.

Very pretty small park on the side of the river. We did not see any manatees but we were lucky enough to observe a group of maybe 4-5 dolphins swimming not too far from the shore. Nice little spot for a family picnic or something like that. Very easy access for the mobility impaired as well. The parking is right... More

A very peaceful park. My family went there to see a manatee, but we saw a baby alligator instead. The water is beautiful. The is a short boardwalk and walking path there.
