We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. You need to validate your ticket to return for a second day. That was not well stated. The Apollo exhibit was the most interesting. My generation, you know. I should have brought some kleenex along, as I felt a tear in my eye at times. These people were truly heros, everyone involved. I stand in... more

It was worth the 3 hour drive from Orlando. My husband and I thought it was the highlight of our Orlando vacation. more

Can print "buy one-get one free" coupons on the internet. Ride the tour bus for 2 1/2 hours - narrated - see everything including the current shuttle (Atlantis in Nov., 2009) on its launch pad. Have a quick lunch at the Orbit Cafe and have a chance to see and talk to a real astronaut. Walk through the exhibits of... more

I was tempted to rate the Kennedy Space Center with 4 stars because of an absolutely maddening experience we had with the utterly inept operation of their shuttle buses. We lost an entire hour of our day trying to get on a shuttle while dozens of empty buses drove by. That being said, I realize most of our frustration with... more

KSC is really two sight-seeing experiences. If you want to be entertained, the visitors center would be to your liking. It has IMAX movies galore and a Space Shuttle ride. To see it all requires some planning which I try to avoid when on vacation. If you want to hear more of the history, then hop on the bus for... more

We spent the day at Kennedy Space Center on Friday - the group consisted of my husband, my sister, and my 5-year-old stepdaughter. We initially had concerns about taking her, thinking the subject matter might be over her head, but it turned out to be fine. She wanted to rush us a bit when we wanted to linger over some... more

A great learning experience for you and your children. The bus tour stops at 3 spots for drop off and exploring. Each stop has movies and informaiton that begin to wear you down if you have small children who really just want to touch and feel things (2 hour trip). The best thing for the kids is the launch simulator,... more

As a kid I always thought NASA/space exploration was cool. But as an adult I now realize it's a terrific waste of tax payer money. All under the guise of bogus experiments the private sector can do. (sure hope there's no water on the moon) So I thought my kids would like to see a shuttle launch (128). Through the... more

At least once a year our family travels to Orlando, Florida for vacation. With the kids getting older, we needed to find something outside the usual to keep them entertained. Just a short drive from Orlando, we found Kennedy Space Center a fun and educational alternative to the usual theme parks. There are lots of activities, including a theme park... more

Sadly, I would not recommend to anyone that they visit the Kennedy Space Center. After paying $40 per person we were ushered over to a tour bus that slowly took us to an observation deck. From the observation deck you could sort of make out the launch pad in the distance. With my point-and-shoot camera zoomed all the way I... more
