Bradenton beach has beautiful, soft white sand. The sand is full of shells in some areas, and if you collect shells, this is a great place to visit. The waves can get large and you will often see people surfing nearby. There is a cafe on the beach, umbrella and chair rentals, and plenty of restaurants close by. Parking is... More

For the price (free) and parking (free) and an uncrowded feel all week long, there is no other beach to rival Bradenton. Sure, it is popular on weekends. Locals abound, but they know a good thing and they are super friendly people. Mostly families. Yes, Siesta has nicer sand, but it is ridiculously crowded...so much so that you may walk... More

This beach was clean and uncrowded with lots of open space and lounge chairs to use. There were paddle boards, wave runners and other water toys conveniently available for rent.

This is a pretty average west coast beach - mixed development, decent parking, no waves, and so-so sand. You'll get better infrastructure and sand elsewhere, but if you're in the area there's no reason not to go. You'd have to be a real beach snob not to enjoy yourself.

Just so I am clear, what I am writing a review on is Ana Maria Island - I drove the whole island. I entered this area from St Armands, near Sarasota. I took the John Ringling Causeway [789] west - then turned right at St Armands and continued to the end of the island, still on 789 [turns into Gulf... More

This beach has plenty of beach access close to parking and the beach itself is very clean and well maintained.

With all the beaches being taken over with condo complexes it's nice to see Bradenton Beach has not succumbed. Yes, it can be congested so park your car and walk around. There are lots of little boutique shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Corporate America has not overtaken yet. The beach is lovely and so is the water. Enjoy!

We went to a few different beaches while staying in Bradenton. This was our favorite. They had free parking a bathroom area right next to free parking. Shells, and at this time of year the beaches were not overly busy. I highly recommend this beach it is on par with Lido and Siesta key beaches but has more shells! Longer... More

This place is a hidden secret, the beaches and markets are just a little part of what makes this town a gem! I will vacation here as I was here on business a little fun but mostly work. Im really excited to go to the shops and spend time on the many restaurants and sites in this area.
