Nice off-leash dog beach in Southwest Florida

We took our to pups here 2 mornings in a row and they had a blast! There were other dogs, but it was not overly crowded. Some regular visitors mentioned to us that you should check the tides first, but we got lucky with our timing and were able to keep the human feet dry. We did see that some... More

Bonita beach dog beach is amazing. It is located at the very Southern point of lovers key. You walk through a maze of mangroves to the expansive beach. Our dog not only played with a myriad of dogs- he got to swim with dolphins as well. You meet interseting people from all ages and walks of life. A top attraction... More

We went to the dog beach that is part of the state park. We had a blast! There were big dogs, medium dogs and little dogs all running around playing in the sand and water. Our 7 lb dog was amazed. So many dogs in the same place at the same time. It was a joy to see them having... More

We did not see any dog droppings while we visited with our golden retriever. Our 16 month old golden loved the entire experience. Since this is a dog park even the people were friendly with our dog and vice versa. We have seen aggressive dogs but they remain leashed. There were all sizes of dogs so our dog wasn't the... More

This is a great location. Nice way the county has put up signs that a lot of people choose to IGNORE. CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG PLEASE. I will not return, because the majority don't pick up after dogs and the unruly ones seem to over take the park. This is also a lot of pollution into the water. It... More

Excellent place for dogs! We had a hard time finding it but a local gave us directions. Really nice place to wear your dogs out by playing with other dogs or just going for a dip in the water. The only downside is that a lot of owners don't clean up after their dogs. But overall, it was very nice!... More

Water wasn't the cleanest that day, and people did not clean up after their dogs. Parking is very confusing

We were looking forward to visiting this beach park for dogs with our four legged friend and family member but this ended as a major disappointment. We left within 15 minutes of our arrival. On one side is the mud, dog poop left by previous visitors and many puddles with dirty water in them. On the other side, there were... More

Was disappointed. Muddy, shallow and strong tide pulls. Much better dog beaches at Juno, Venice, DeSoto and causeways in St Pete area.
