What a great place to take your Grandchildren. The Carousel is over the top and great fun for 5-8 year olds. The Park atmosphere is fabulous AND the hands on Play Ground (very kid safe) is one of the best I've ever seen. Well maintained and more fun that a barrel of monkeys.

Besides climbing on the large structure and using the slide which is free of charge, try the carousel for $1.00, and venture into the building for hands on science related experiments. If the weather is warm, there may be fixed water guns available. Another section has an area for smaller children.

this was the one alternative to get the kids away from boca beach club while we stayed there for a week. they loved this place, there was every kind of option they could imagine for things to do from the carousel to climbing.

We stopped here while on our way to Fort Lauderdale so the kids could stretch out. The carousel is just a dollar to ride. The playground is actually closed until July 2016 but we were able to check it out before the last day. Overall, good spot to stop, have lunch and let the little ones let out energy.

Again I am not sure who has more fun here - me, my husband or our 3 year old. It's the playground you wish you had access to when you were a kid and big enough for you to enjoy it too! I love the feel of the whole area....old Florida, clean, and well maintained. The carousel is my favorite...... More

A favorite park for visiting grandchildren! Sugars Sands has a great playground with water cannons to shoot at other eager children, a fantastic climbing structure, a carrousel and much more. The playground is terrific for toddlers to 11 year olds. There is also a terrific science Explorarian (sp?) there. It has loads of interactive exhibits for toddles to young teens... More

This park seems to have everything for a family to do. We took our grand children there expecting to find swings and the standard play ground things. Nope it had nearly everything you could want. A carousel, a full climbing jungle gym with slides and poles, a dinosaur sand pit, a water area with water gun that my grandson never... More

My children love this place. Every time we visit family in South Florida, the kids want to go to Sugar Sand. The love the play ground, and the water toys too. They also love the science museum too. What a great way to let them run and explore for very little money.

Our daughter-in-law asked us to take our grandson over after school (they LIVE here!). We'd been there 10 minutes (at the excellent children's play area) when we heard a car alarm. While NO ONE paid the slightest attention (is it really so common in Boca?) I had a nasty feeling it was our car...and it was! My wife acted quickest... More

...and adults too! The science exploratorium is composed of 2 rooms chock full of fabulous hands-on experiences for kids of all ages (including grandparents!). It's very well maintained and used by school groups as well as grandparents/parents with children. It is free to the public but a donation is nice. The park also has a carosel as well as sports...
