I love photographing lighthouses and this was great one to photo. The museum is wonderful w/ loads of history. I have a Lighthouse Passport which was stamped by the young gal at register. She told me she had stamp for Gasparilla Island Light. I was thrilled. We stopped at the Gasperilla Island Light on our way off the island.

The lighthouse museum is very intereting but honestly it's just a bonus. This is without a doubt the best view of the waters of Boca Grande you can experience.

I wasn't sure I would like this place at first, seemed small, but oh the history in there is awesome, gives you a good back ground of how people made their living, worth going!!!!

Helpful staff, easy parking, not crowded. We traveled to the museum on a golf cart. Picnic on the beach in front.

Even though the museum was closed, we thoroughly enjoyed the shady porches. It was humidly hot outside but the view and breezes were wonderful upstairs on the lighthouse porch.

This is a must do if you have kids! Add some education while at the beach. The Lighthouse Museum is a great way to get in a little history lesson. They often will have special events on weekends so be sure to check their website or Facebook page. There is a fee to enter the park/parking lot.

Other than the toll to get on Boca Grande the only other fee is a $3 parking fee. Well worth it for the beautiful beach area to walk and the lighthouse museum. Have been many times as we always bring guests to visit the lighthouse. Interesting reading and the volunteers are knowledgeable and friendly. Driving around the island is enjoyable... More

The loghthouse is the best thing about the island in my opinion. The museum there is most interesting and well done.

I would have not even realized that this was the lighthouse unless I was told. Looks more like a beach house. But for a lighthouse they do have a lot of history information to read and a nice gift shop.

Very cool old lighthouse. Lots of mounted fish, shark teeth, shells and pics of the lighthouse history. There is a small gift shop in it also.
