Needed to find a place to stop for a picnic lunch and this was close by. Picnic tables are on the side of the road, just pull over and park. We drove through the park. It seemed like a nice place to hang out for a while but we were anxious to get to our hotel. Didn't see any Key... More

Not sure what this area is good for. The "no-see-ums" were fairly thick when we walked around here. It be an ok area to bird watch or watch a sunset.

There are places along long beach road to park. You can cut over to the trail that sort of runs the dune along the beach. It's a nicely maintained trail with various types of foliage labeled. Long Beach is a state park and they always seem the best. Great sandy beach, plenty of parking, private if you want it and of cour se the water color is unbeleiable. Even though it was overcast the day I was there i was able to do a beautiful pastel painting of the ocean.

This is a nice place to just quick jump in and snorkel for awhile , or just take your beach chair sit watch the view and relax. Very quiet and remote.

Most of this beach is either on private land or has little to no sand. The snorkling is OK in places and birdwatching is quite good. There is a short hiking trail at the East end, but this is not the place for a relaxing swim.
