Delaware's best kept secret for a night of entertainment is New Candlelight Theatre. Located in historic Ardentown, DE, New Candlelight provides an all-inclusive evening of Dinner and Professional theatre in an intimate atmosphere, all for a reasonable price. Operating as a theater venue for over 75 years, the stage of this quaint barn comes alive every weekend year round and entertains thousands of theater-goers through the course of the year. While musicals are New Candlelight’s specialty, other special events such as a monthly Comedy Night, are also available offering patrons various opportunities to experience Live Theatre. Tickets are $55 for adults and include full course buffet and show. Cash bar is available as well as free parking. Children and group discount tickets are also available.

The Producers is FUNNY and perfectly cast. All you can eat buffet was enjoyable again. Great show, great service, and truly a great night out!

The talent is wonderful although the casting sometimes falls flat. Age spicificty doesn't seem to matter. Buffet has been cut back but is still pretty good. It's a great night out with friends to see a good shows.

We have seen Annie and Bye bye Birdie and we had a wonderful experience both times. Our kids (7&9) loved it as much as we did. The performances are impressive and having your waiter be in the show is a fun feature. It is worth every penny.

Took my family there one summer when my mother came to visit. The food was homemade and delicious. The waiters are also the cast members in the play. The show is compatible with anything you will see on Broadway. Excellent! We had a great time and even won back our money in a drawing.

We regularly attend the Comedy Nights as well as the Main Stage Productions. We haven't seen a bad show yet!! Comedy Nights are once a month during most of the year and are an awesome value for $25!! What a great little theatre! You feel like you are in a 1950's camp lodge somewhere in the mountains, when you are really just a few short minutes off 1-95 in Northern Delaware. The New Candlelight theater is excellent. The acting is top notch and some of their plays are original productions. The best part for me, however, is the dinner offered before the production. It is a very tasty buffet style dining experience prior to the play.
