Tried to find this park while visiting town with my dog. My GPS could not locate it and the local signs ended somewhere short of the actual park Drove around the neighborhood for 1/2 hour trying to find it, then left.

It was incredibly hard to figure out where to access this park from, and where to park. We went to the park headquarters, it was fenced in and closed. The signs were confusing. We ended up leaving the car parked in front of a house in a neighborhood, and walking up to "blue Bell Barn" ( I think that was... More

Off road trails or paved trails, rock climbing area, quiet & scenic views, along the water & amazing views make you feel like you're not in Delaware.

We went here for a hike on Mothers' Day. It is a beautiful park with plenty of things to do and see as are all Delaware State Parks!

Whenever I go on a trip I look forward to finding new places to run. Alapocas Run did not disappoint! I happened to luck out in the timing of my trip; the fall foliage was at its peak, making it even more beautiful. There are several trails that wind through a park that is filled with mature trees, creeks, and... More

I love this park, I have been to many in the area and this along with Brandywine Park (which is very close) and Lums Pond park are some of my very favorite ones. The area is very well kept and there is a 10 mi. trail which connects both Brandywine and Alapocas state parks. I love the trees and the... More

This area has some great forest tracks that can also lead you down to the river and other parts of town. Good if the weather is ver hot and humid as you will be in shade the whole time.

Alapocas State park is home to lovely woodlands and hiking/biking trails. Stroll along the brandywine or take a canoe ride. The park is well-maintained and trails are well marked for those unfamiliar with the area. Serene and peaceful setting.

It's a nice little park. Well kept, paved paths. I understand they even have a rock climbing wall now. Cool! Just be careful crossing the road in Alapocas woods when you're on the trail. It's a winding road that cars really zip along.
