From reading the descriptions of this place I was expecting an interesting old building reused as an interesting market containing assorted shops and food stalls. Instead we found a dark, dank space with a greasy food court feel. There was one produce stall and a handful of places serving assorted sandwiches and hot dishes. As a place for people from... More

If guess if you have nothing to compare it to, then it's ok...but I was expecting something more because I have been to many river walks around the US. I was wasting time while my husband was in a business meeting. I walked the board walk, stopped and had a snack, but that's about it. Perhaps I went at the... More

Walk along the boardwalk. All the clubs and restaurants in full gear at night. Listen to the music and see the historic front. Nice way to spend an evening and try a few places along the front.

Close to the heart of town and the train station, you'll find the Riverfront park and Market a cool place to walk, hang out and enjoy the vibes of Wilmington. On the evening we were there we enjoyed a free open air live band, had ice cream and strolled up and down the entire Riverfront checking out the cool bird... More

Great place for a feed , cheese steaks are really good . The building is an old warehouse converted where once they built ships , it has two levels of old brick and large timber beams that really gives that rustic feel. Close to the heart of town and train station .

I like this place in general. As a sushi person, of course I was pleased to see several options. They had a pizza option and two deli offerings too. The center produce market was unique but pricey. Nice to window shop though. I would bring someone here who just it off the train and needed a snack or a coffee.

This market is in an almost 200 year old building that had been used in the shiipbuilding era of Wilmington. It has been a market for over 10 years with a number of interesting places to eat in a casual atmosphere--Thai, sushi, pizza, sandwiches, coffee/pastries, etc. It is more of a eating area than a true city market. It is... More

We came into town, and saw the big market sign. Plenty of room to park. Inside was quite a selection. We checked out the seafood, sushi, the deli...and all went our ways to collect lunch. The dining area wasn't anything special. I was hoping for river views but I guess we should have gone to Harry's for that. Its not... More

(dvdqueen0825's review is for the now closed Shipyard Shops, not the Riverfront Market.) The place has a feel of a very mini-Reading Terminal Market, with about 10 shops. Tokyo Sushi, which used to be part of Mikimoto's, is good for takeout. Harry's Seafood is a fancy and very good sit-down restaurant. The Amish Bakery is good. This place is in... More
