I think the bad reviews for this attraction are very misleading. This is a great attraction where you visit the mansion and grounds that were owned by Alfred DuPont. I made my reservations on a Tuesday in September for that Friday. There was no problem making them. You go to the visitors center when you arrive. Just prior to departing... More

This is one of the most impressive mansion and garden tours I've ever done. Visitors are shown through the mansion in groups of four.- reservations are needed. The mansion is quite grand, but it manages to maintain the feeling of also being a home. Dupont was involved in all all aspects of the design and his ingenuity shines through. While... More

Another DuPont mansion that delivers a interesting story and is visually beautiful. The mansion recently had a update and and is amazing. The Gardens are terrific and a peaceful heaven to take a walk. The DuPont family story reads like one of today's realty shows and the competition to out do one another with their homes and gardens results in... More

This is a true family home. As you enter the front door and are greeted by the tour guide you can feel the warmth of the family who lived there. Our tour was an hour and a half long. Even though that may seem long enough, I'm sorry to say, it wasn't. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and guided... More

After your check in you are are taken to the mansion on a van. We had a group of 49 senior citizens on this tour and had three vans. We had our own personal guide for every 5 or 6 people. The mansion was huge and many original pieces of furniture and paintings were exhibited. The guides were very informative... More

I visited Nemours Mansion and Gardens in August and can't say enough of how much I enjoyed it. I have been to France many times and truly thought I was there again. Not only is the home beautiful but the gardens are breathtakingly beautiful. I truly thought I was transported to Versailles Palace. This duPont Mansion was as good as... More

My husband and I visited Nemours on a recent summer afternoon for the 3pm to 6pm tour. We arrived early in order to see the visitor's center. An incredible timeline runs the entire length of the center. It documents DuPont family and business history along with national and international historical events. Highly recommend an early arrival to allow time to... More

If you are interested in a beautiful historic mansion with lovely formal gardens, this setting is for you. It is the former home of Alfred I DuPont, and the visit is very well coordinated to include a brief introductory film to provide background on the man and his family and legacy. This is followed by a bus ride to the... More

This was a really well done, small group tour (6 people) of another lovely duPont family home. This one was actually used, and lived in, as a home and not a museum. There are limited, scheduled, tours and you should make reservations in advance. The entire tour takes about 3 hours with maybe 2.25 to 2.5 hours inside the house... More

The house tour was very informative and gave insight into how well the DuPonts lived. Truly another world.
