From our hotel, this was a nice walk along the river front. We were too late to go inside the Visitor's center, but the walk through this area is lovely. This area has been redeveloped and with many terrific restaurants and bars, it is a great place to visit.

We walk along the RiverFront very regularly and love the Wildlife Refuge! The city did an incredible job with this. The refuge is at the end of the RiverFront in Wilmington. It is an amazing and beautiful place. It is handicap accessible. They have an awesome boardwalk you can stroll. In the summer they even have chairs to sit on... More

The wildlife refuge on the Christina River is beautiful and educational. The bridge over the train tracks is a pleasant sky walk to get there. It's chock full of exhibits which have things for lifelong Wilmington residents and children alike.

Come down here to see the wildlife. There is a cool park and a foot bridge that takes you over the railroad tracks. Once on the other side you'll see a pond (not necessarily teeming) with wild life. Your kids will enjoy this excursion.

We have enjoyed canoe trips through the marsh as well as nature hikes through the marsh. They have organized excellent school field trips.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the late Russell Peterson, former governor of Delaware, birder and naturalist, we have this beautiful wildlife refuge just minutes from I-95 and downtown Wilmington. If you visit the refuge, make sure to also visit the Dupont Experimental Station, where there are nature exhibits, classes, and great views of the natural habitats or birds, fish,... More

A nice walk, good view. The facility was closed but we were able to walk out on the decking and enjoyed the view.

This is an ambitious project, and hopefully will be very successful . It is beautifully landscaped and encourages one to observe nature from many places. While we observed birds and even some water animals, there was not alot to view on our visit.

This small Urban Wildlife refuge was created in a former wasteland. It is unique in that from its observation area one can see and hear 2 interstate hiways, railrods and yet an active wetland. The area is very accessible along the Christiana River waterfont area.
