First timers to WCL @The Queen. We were impressed by the venue. Made reservations & was seated right up front. Enjoyed the jam with Lower Case Blues & Sweet Leda. We had dinner before going, so had drinks & nibbled on sweet potato fries, that were yummy. Our waitress was attentive & the staff helpful. Enjoyed our night out &... More

I've been to a couple of events at World Cafe Live (upstairs and downstairs) in Wilmington, DE. The venue has a lot of potential; but, realistically, it leaves much to be desired. (Fyi--The food isn't very good...eat before you get there.) I do, however, love the fact that they bring acts to the area that you would typically have to... More

We have been here a few times for shows. The upstairs venue is smaller and a bit awkwardly set up for shows. Upstairs serves as a dining room and the menu is okay. It would be nice if there were more appetizer options. I like to have something to nibble on while watching a show. House wines are pretty good,... More

The bands that roll through here are a great range and we are lucky to have this great venue. But are we reviewing the music or the Queen? The food is terrible for no reason that I can see. Nice ingredients poorly served and blandly constructed. The show we went to, they had changed the start time, but never notified... More

I have been listening and admiring Todd Rundgren and his work since the 70's, and was blown away by the passionate performance of his new music and constant evolution of his art as performed live in Philly. We were privileged to see the show and it was definitely a bucket list moment!. Thanks Todd!

We decided to go see Robert Cray a bit late and got SRO tickets. We were able to stand at the very front of the stage and see a classic rock/blues performance from one of the great guitarists for not much money. Nice selections of craft beer and full bar made the evening even better. The sound is full and... More

In it's payday the Queen was home to many fantastic Artist performances. In the here and now we have seen both Stephen Nash and Lindsey Buckingham in separate performances absolutely amaze their audiences with One Man Acoustic Performances where the acoustics were perfect and the intimate atmosphere delivered the kind of a memory you can't hope to achieve going to... The World Cafe is a quaint venue, very interesting inside, as it used to be a theatre. Parking only $5 across street, nice selection of beer, wine, and alcohol. Service a bit slow. Was right at the front for the concert. Sound system & lighting were very good. Concert started after 8pm and ended shortly after 10pm. A little early... More

Just back from trying to attend a concert at the World Cafe Live at the Queen. We had planned to purchase tickets at the door, as it was a general admission concert, and we knew that it wouldn't be sold out. When we got to the ticket window, we were told that the tickets would be 33 % more than... More

I have seen musical acts both in the smaller upstairs restaurant like venue, and the larger downstairs theatre. Upstairs, the food was fine, and service attentive, which I know can be difficult in these kind of places. The room is oddly shaped, so some areas will have an awkward view of the stage. The sound was mixed a bit too loud... More
