We decided to go see Robert Cray a bit late and got SRO tickets. We were able to stand at the very front of the stage and see a classic rock/blues performance from one of the great guitarists for not much money. Nice selections of craft beer and full bar made the evening even better. The sound is full and... More

In it's payday the Queen was home to many fantastic Artist performances. In the here and now we have seen both Stephen Nash and Lindsey Buckingham in separate performances absolutely amaze their audiences with One Man Acoustic Performances where the acoustics were perfect and the intimate atmosphere delivered the kind of a memory you can't hope to achieve going to... The World Cafe is a quaint venue, very interesting inside, as it used to be a theatre. Parking only $5 across street, nice selection of beer, wine, and alcohol. Service a bit slow. Was right at the front for the concert. Sound system & lighting were very good. Concert started after 8pm and ended shortly after 10pm. A little early... More

Just back from trying to attend a concert at the World Cafe Live at the Queen. We had planned to purchase tickets at the door, as it was a general admission concert, and we knew that it wouldn't be sold out. When we got to the ticket window, we were told that the tickets would be 33 % more than... More

I have seen musical acts both in the smaller upstairs restaurant like venue, and the larger downstairs theatre. Upstairs, the food was fine, and service attentive, which I know can be difficult in these kind of places. The room is oddly shaped, so some areas will have an awkward view of the stage. The sound was mixed a bit too loud... More

This review is from the performer's perspective. After all, a happy performer usually puts on a show that makes the audience happier. So here goes... The upstairs room is state-of-the-art, sunny, and cheerful. The entire staff is kind and supportive, from box office to production management to sound engineering to bar/wait staff. Everyone works well as a team and the... More

Intimate small theatre with restaurant and bar. Great atmosphere. Historic property - should continue renovation.

Had a great time at this restored theater for a charity event. As a historic preservationist, it was interesting to see the restoration style they followed. It was a treat for me!

The Queen Theratre is a gem. Renovating an historic theatre in the heart of Wilmnington was a bold move, and the end product is magnificent. Great views, solid service, decent shows, all in our city. Support the Queen -- you won't be disappointed.

I went to see a band, "Caravan of Thieves," at this venue back in June in the upstairs area. It was a ticketed event that we paid for well in advance. This is a group several of us in the party had seen before, and we were looking forward to seeing them again and introducing some other people to their... More
