This park at the edge of Wilmington's western city limits is a popular place for walking - people and dogs. Facilities for tennis, softball, basketball, and relaxing picnics. Some of the city's largest and more stately houses - all over 100 years old - face the park. A green serene atmosphere.

a great area in the city for running, walking or just relaxing. It's great to have such a nice place so easily accesible in the city.

There is a climb to get to the top bit it is worth it! Also, in May the flower market occurs with rides and live entertainment. You can also purchase flowers (and other things). Check the schedule to be sure the tower is open. The park also offers an off-leash area for well-behaved dogs.

This park is my favorite place to bring our dog! There's a big grassy area for the dogs to run and play. Owners can bring their dogs and you can find about 20 to 50 dogs at one time playing and fetching. The park also provides with bags for picking up your pooche's waste. Great for walking, running, biking, playing... More

I grew up nearby, but now only visit for euphoric recall. In the winter, best hill for sledding. Fall-great folliage. Anytime, good place to walk or run ( in HS, this was our cross-country running course of 2.3 miles). Don't miss the view from the top of the tower, as well as Mt. Salem United Methodist Church.
