So nice to see so much care and attention given to a local spot. It's obvious how proud the locals are if this museum, it's evident in the care of the place. Really enjoyed our visit.

This museum was everything I hoped it would be and more. It contains 30ish small dioramas of elaborately styled taxidermy gophers depicted in hilarious and adorable scenes. This is the quintessential small rural museum experience and is must see for ever Albertan.

I have stopped in here once every couple summers since I was a kid and have always enjoyed myself. The one room museum has 30+ displays of stuffed gophers in different outfits with different backdrops (astronaut gopher, wildwest gopher, gophers getting married, etc) The attention to detail is pretty impressive and for a couple of bucks its worth the stop... I fell in love at first sight, my curiosity for the species took over me and I immediately took the long road to the World famous Gopher Hole Museum. You see, I'm a dedicated trucker, I truck, that what I do, and sometimes I like to treat myself. Amazing museum, would love to go again.

You should all visit here. It is perfectly rural Albertan in every way. We spent about half an hour - we could have spent much more time but it was getting crowded. It might seem out of the way but the drive is lovely and you will enjoy the museum.

We have been here twice. Entrance fee is $2 for adults. It's not a big exhibit but there was a lot of thought, work & creativity put into each display box. There are a few albino's & 1 black gopher. Otherwise the rest are common. There is a small gift shop in the back. Friendly staff.

I have been trying to make it to the Gopher Hole Museum for years. It's a bit out of the way and we always seem to be in a hurry. This particular road trip however was all about our grandsons and I just knew this was the time to make time. It is about twenty minutes off the QE2 in... More

Yes there really is a museum dedicated to the Gopher. It was all the idea of the town council some 15 years ago and it is a roaring success with visitors from all over the world. The displays are imaginative and put together with great care. Small it may be but fascinating it definitely is.

This plyis fabulous. The creators have obviously gone to a lot of trouble to put these stuffed gophers into small town scenes, from weddings to Bingo to fishing and farming. You can get a certificate to commemorate your visit and you can buy some crafts there too. Also check out the statue of Clem T. Gopher and the gopher themed... More

Bring your sense of humour and don't expect too much. The trip is great lighthearted fun. The displays are very well done and the cheesy humour is perfect. I recommend stopping for lunch at the local Inn to top off your small town amusement. It is worth the side trip - Not everyone can say they have been to a... More
