My mate and I drove up from Calgary, looking for something out of the ordinary! We found it!! Best two dollar admission I've ever paid! We had a laugh, really good fun.

My spouse and I were looking for something different to do on Labour Day and it doesn't get much different than the Gopher Hole Museum. There is a $2.00 entry fee, which likely won't affect anyone's lifestyle too much. The museum features numerous small dioramas in which the main characters are deceased, stuffed, in-costume gophers, so if you're put off... More

One day while driving to Edmonton from Calgary we wondered where we could stop and visit some kind of weird roadside attraction - and we found the perfect spot!! The gopher hole museum in Torrington is really strange, quirky and worth the stop! It's really a little house with a room full of dioramas with stuffed gophers in various scenarios... More

This was our second time visiting. The first was with our young children a few years ago. They loved it. The scenes depicted are very detailed and humorous. The entry fee was $2 each, more than reasonable. Our second visit recently was to show our British friends a unique slice of Alberta. It was an easy drive to Torrington from... More

We went and visited based on my cousins review of the place. I am glad we did. I think my daughter took pictures of each of the displays. Their originality for an idea is commendable. They have put a lot of work into each of the depicted scenes and even personalized them to the town. Being an Albertan, I was... More

we made a point to stop at the museum because we heard about it from friends. The tiny museum in the small town in the middle of now ware is a great place to stretch your legs and get some air from a long drive either on the way to or from Drummer. Pack a sense of hummer and laugh... More

The Gopher museum is artistic, hilarious and very well done. It's a tiny museum in a very small village, but it was well worth the drive from Calgary to see it. Museum staff are super friendly, and they encourage everyone to take lots of photos and have a good time.

As Alberta residents, we knew about the museum, but never visited it. Some what skeptable we had very low expectations. Having spent time at the museum, we acknowledge the excellent work done on all the displays. Very professional looking indeed. Worth the trip...

We enjoyed this small museum more than expected. The folks who make the dioramas have a good sense of humour. When we went in the fall they didn't have regular hours, but opened up for us when we called. It's about 30 km east of Hwy 2.
