We stayed here on a trip down the coast and it was a great place to stop and recuperate. It's a bit of a walk to the beach but definitely worth the trip. It was a very bike friendly area and it seemed like lots of families biked between the beach front and campsite. The water was nice and the... More

It has pull-through sites as well as newly constructed 'tenting' areas surrounded by split rail fencing. It also sits just to the left side, under the Indian River Inlet bridge. There are no trees or private swimming pools and the beach is about a 500 meter walk or drive away. There is a laundry facility and rest rooms with showers... More

This is a beautiful beach that wasn't to crowded while I was there. The weird thing I found is Deleware's "Pack in-Pack out" mentality for it's state parks. I understand this for the back country but when you are 20 feet from the highway, I feel like you are just asking for litter. Maybe it works for them, but not... More

Bathrooms, showers and a snack bar close by. Wide clean beaches and lots of parking. We did not have to run to the meter to feed it. nice to take a shower before you get back into the car.

We went to the Hickman Road parking lot and walked the prickly pear trail for about 3 miles. Portion of the trails is paved with crushed stones, while the remaining trail is packed earth (mowed). It's level, with pine forests, open meadow, a view of the Indian River Bay, and you can spot the prickly pear cactus along the trail.... More

Very happy with this campground for the value. Know that there is no shade and units are close together....however it's clean and the staff and volunteer campground hosts were delightful. This is NOT a resorts, it's a state park and as such, realize you're getting a nice value at the beach. The camp store is minimum. They are building additional... More

We camped here only one night. It is basically a large open field between the inlet and the ocean. Sites are very close together. It must be challenging in the summer with crowds and kids. A short walk to the beach. Fun to watch boats go in and out the inlet. Lots of people fishing. The bridge across the inlet... More

There are no trees at the campground, and it's basically underneath a giant bridge (though a very beautiful bridge that's lit up blue at night, definitely something to see) a short walk from the beach. But it was $39 / night for a tent site that had easy access to bathrooms, a picnic table, and that's it. No electric, no... More

I have visited this campground since I as a kid 12 years ago and always used to camp closest to the water because we like to fish all day. we just visited again since the "improvements" were made and the experience was terrible from the beginning. We registered our trailer at the correct size online and made reservations online 3... More

We have spent several vacations at Dealware Seashore |State Park and have seen it evolve over the last few years into a first class state park facility. Bridge construction is done but park facilities construction continues. Now first, state parks in general don't try to compete with "resorts". That's not their mission. So judging facilities and amenities need to take... More
