Yes, you have to pay to get in. But at the end of the day, I have a short walk to my car, a bath house to wash the sand off, and a full belly from the snack bar.

Like this beach but no bathrooms. Only nasty pota potties in the parking lot, so I do not go there because I drink a lot of water on the beach and am not using those gross pota potties. They should install some bathrooms.

If you want to go to The Beach, and not have the boardwalk and tons of people, but just want a relaxing day on the beach, this is your spot. There are several access points along DE1 and there is a bath house if needed. Some of the locations have on-beach vehicle driving for surf fishing too. Any of the... More

In lieu of spending $200 for a parking permit for downtown it is a bargain to get the annual pass to Delaware State parks. Except for a few days a year this is quite a bit less crowded and the Snack Bar/ Rest rooms are a nice feature.

Beautiful beach, sparsely visited compared to the main drag. Clean stretches of sand and rolling waves in which to frolic. Worth the short drive and admission cost.

We have passed these towrers for years, this time we decided to stop. Built in the early 40's they were supposed to last 20 years. 75 years later still standing. If built today, how long would it last? Hard to believe they were maned with soldiers to lookout for enemy ships. Can't go inside the doors are bricked. The interior... More

We have been to this beach many times and enjoy ourselves each time. A nice family friendly beach. They also have a snack bar and showers. It's worth the $8 out of state and $4 in state fee they charge.

Stayed at the RV park on the Bayside. A five minute walk gets you to the ocean beaches. Great little self serve RV park with the small amenity shop. The beach itself is very nice and clean. The RV park is just a parking lot with all the hook ups. Not a tree in sight.

We RV camped on he north unit. It was so cool to be a short walk to the beach. Nice areas to walk to the marina. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets!

It was so nice to get away for the weekend with my hubby. These beaches are pristine! We both have grown up with sand in our toes and it is so nice when a great community takes care of their beaches.
