the trail connects Lewes and Rehoboth beach along the trail of a formerly railway between those towns. it passes fields, marhes, forest and open areas, 10 miles long. it is very pleasant, nearly flat trail inviting youo to go through.

Quiet piece of biking heaven from Rehoboth to Lewes, navigating stunning wetlands, tree-ceilinged paths and crossing untrammeled roads--a joyful retreat from the beach bustle. Tremendous bonus….the brand new Cape Henlopen State Park bike trail is open--a 3.5 mile paved loop trail through the park. The loop offers various branches that lead off into the marshes with wide vistas of the... More

Stayed in Cape May and took the Cape May ferry over to Lewes specifically to bike the Junction and Breakwater Trail. Make certain you have directions from the ferry to the beginning of the trail - we took one wrong turn, but quickly found our way to the trail head. Some road traffic until you get to the trail head,... More

On a recent weekend visit to Rehoboth Beach, my husband and I went for a run on the trail. It was beautiful and felt like it was in the country. We also liked that the people on bikes were respectful and didn't make us feel like we were in danger of being crashed into. We enjoyed it so much that... More

this trail was great.it was a little haven in the middle of a busy area. It is pretty safe and easy to follow the markings.

basically running parallel to super busy Rt 1, but set way back in the woods, it's quiet and serene and you'd never guess how close you were to a major thoroughfare. There are wooded areas, and fields, and swamps, and streams. A really nice easy walk or bike ride.

We rented bicycles and rode from Rehoboth to Lewes and Henlopen Park and back. It was a great way to see the area and get some exercise. The trail is flat and well maintained.

This is a flat walking trail going from Rehoboth Beach to Lewes, DE. It is 100 times safer than trying to ride a bike on the roads in the area. You can also see a lot of wildlife while on the trail. In the Spring and Fall it can get crowded on the weekends. There is plenty of free parking... More

Anytime of year this trail from Rehoboth to Lewes is awesome. If you love being outdoors and in nature then this is for you. I ride my bicycle regularly here (weather permitting). I've seen all sorts of wonderful things too. Birds, Turtles, Deer, Snakes, Rabbits, etc. Of course in the hot summer months you might want to take along some... More
