The beach is clean and though there can be a lot of people during peak season, it is a wonderful location and not as overcrowded as Bethany.

Our only complaint with Lewes Beach is that it isn't closer to Wilmington! Though you could argue that a one-and-a-half hour drive isn't all that bad. All that aside, it is a great place to visit in the summer. Nice clean surroundings, the water is quiet and ideal for kids to play in. No mad crowds and the area isnt... More

We went to Rehoboth beach first, but now I wish we went here first! The waves are barely there and it a nice relaxing atmosphere. The Beach is a great size and you can actually relax and not worry about the kids being swept out to sea. Parking is metered, but they TAKE CARDS which I've noticed is very rare... More

I came here because the waves at Rehoboth and Dewey were a bit big for my toddler son. This beach allowed my son to splash around without having to hold on to him the entire time. That being said, bigger ocean waves would probably clean out all the seaweed in the water. On my visit, there were a lot of... More

This place is very close to Rehoboth Beach, but looks nothing like it. Really historic, nice shop area with some nice bar / restaurants.

I love this beach. It is a true beach culture like none other. Where else can you go and feel totally safe, talk to strangers, hang out and never worry about a thing. The water was perfect, the weather was great and the beach is unbelievable! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this beach! So glad it hasn't changed in the 35 years... More

Not good if you want a boardwalk, but that's what Rehoboth Beach is for. I like that it is family oriented.

Enjoyed going to the Lewes Beach. The waves aren't big, but if you have little children along you probably like that feature. I just enjoy looking out at the water, curling my toes in the sand and getting a little bit of sun. I went in to cool off but I'm not a big swimmer. You have to keep putting... More

During our visit, construction limited access to nearby indoor toilets. Had to use the portas. But at least they were nearby.
