Well, whilst we were wandering around Lewes, trying to burn off calories gained from a beaut lunch. We came across the Forge, a good deal of "stuff" on display; but, even having lingered for 10+ minutes nobody fronted to ask if we were interested in any of the "items". I'm a blacksmith and I was visiting Lewes while on a break from a nearby blacksmithing conference, so I couldn't very well pass up John's forge. The best thing about it is that it is first and foremost a working forge. Williamsbirg is a working forge, but its priority is interpretation for tourists. My husband and I have been into Lewes several times & have never seen this place open. However, the other day we noticed the doors were wide open & we couldn't help but take a peek.
