Friendly staff and pleasant journey. Options to sit inside which is more comfortable than some ferries or on deck where you might see some dolphins if you're lucky.

After a visit in Cape May, I decided to visit my sister in Rehoboth Beach. No car, so I was a foot passenger. At the senior citizen rate of $8, it was a steal for the 90 minute cruise! The sun was shining, the water had many white caps, the sea gulls were flying along beside the boat. I loved... More

Took the Ferry from Lewes Beach to Cape May and back again last Saturday. Always thought I would dread it and waste time, NOT! It was a truly enjoyable relaxing experience. From the moment I booked my reservation on the telephone (the lady could not have been more informative or kind) to driving aboard and relaxing for the ride, life... More

We found about the ferry by accident - and can not say enough - we were driving from Ocean City MD - to NYC and heard about the ferry. We took it in the evening and the sunset was fantastic - it was a nice voyage, you can stay in the car or leave the car and go topside.

A nice little trip from Lewes to Cape May, we choose to walk on and talk the trolley, and were glad to have done that as getting around with a car is hassle unless you choose to explore outside Cape May prime. Saw dolphins swimming next to the Ferry, that was a great experience. You can have a drink our... More

If you are headed south to the shore points area of Delaware or Maryland , the ferry is a nice respite for a long drive. It accommodates your vehicle as well as the family, and on a sunny day, adds even more enjoyment to your trip. Rather than drive back across the Delaware Memorial Bridge on the way home from Wildwood, we decided to take the ferry from Cape May to Lewes and drive home from there. It didn't make the trip shorter by any means, but I have always wanted to try the ferry crossing. It didn't disappoint at all. Very efficient loading, on time,... More
