On a weekend trip to Ocean City MD, we decided to drive down the Jersey shore and spend the afternoon in Cape May, then take the ferry across. We had never done this before, thinking that the expense was ridiculous given that we could drive the long way around for "free." SO GLAD we took the ferry! We chose the... More

Taking the Cape May-Lewes Ferry is a great way to end our trip from North Carolia to Wildwood each summer. It's a great way to relaxes and enjoy yourself for the 85-minute cruise and watch the dolphins before stopping for lunch and checking into the hotel. This is one of the best parts of our vacation...

Did not catch the ferry but if you want to have a drink and some food On the Rocks at the Terminal is the only option at the beach in Lewes. Great views on a sunny deck with good cold beer and great simple food.

Having gone past the age of fifty a few years ago I started honoring my favorite grandfather by taking a daily afternoon nap whenever possible. In addition I like to enjoy a cocktail before that nap. The Ferry is absolutely perfect. I like to arrive early usually do not make a reservation. Enjoy one drink at the outside bar. The... More

Guests have told us many reasons for traveling with us but this is a first! Naps…. We hope you got to enjoy our new seating with the reclining capability. Lol… We appreciate your feedback in regards to the service you have received at the Lewes outside bar vs. the Cape May bar. It is an issue we are aware of... More

From the moment entering the parking lot plenty of smiling faces for a day that was awful weather wise. After we started our trip across the bay the full force of the wind churned the water and created a bumpy ride. The staff was helpful to passengers and still showed a smile

Taking the Cape May-Lewes Ferry is a great way to transit across the bay from Delaware to NJ. The Ferry works like clock-work and is always on-time. There is plenty to do on-board, including sightseeing, spotting ships, having a snack/drink. The time on-board goes by very quickly due to all of the activities on-board. I suggest one of the theme... More

Thanks for the Wow! That’s what we like to hear. The man you were referring to was from the “Wetlands Institute,” one of our many FREE on-board amenities. Glad the dolphins gave you a show, we are a much cheaper alternative to other water excursions in the area. Fortunately we were not affected by “Sandy” so all is well with... More

Finding the terminal at the tip of NJ was easy. We had planned to take the coastal Highway from Toms River, but that was poorly marked. Before we embarked, our ticket was again checked by a police officer. We parked the cap on line 4 and walked to the terminal building for the hour before the ship was leaving. The... More

Wow! Thank you for the detailed review for our guests. You will be happy to hear that we are currently working on upgrading our food offerings in our terminals and on-board our vessels. We always recommend reservations for our guests as we never know when we will get an unexpected traffic surge that can sell out boats on a year-round... More

A leisurely ride without a car. Just park your car in the lot and pay your money and board. On a pleasant day and calm waters, the slow swaying of the large ferry boat will put you to sleep. At least you can get some beneficial mouth-of-the-Delaware River untaineed air. Ride on the top deck and watch the sea life... More

Thank you for letting our guests know that they can just take a leisurely ride with us to enjoy the scenic sights and sea life and do not need to be traveling north or south. Your tip of ensuring guests have picture id is also helpful! Thanks for the review and hope to see you again soon! More

Just wanted to say a big "thank you" to Sue for all of her help on our trip back to Maryland. My sister-in-law is in a wheel chair and Sue helped me get her off the ferry and escorted me to the elevators and made sure I was going in the right direction. The rest of the crew gets a... More
