This was the first time on the ferry. Boarded the Lewes side Thursday evening and then boarded the Cape May side Friday afternoon. From the ticket attendants to the Port Authority Officers, to the crew members at the gangway. Everyone was very friendly and helpful to ensure that with me being in a wheelchair, that myself and the passengers in... More

We crossed the bay on a cold, windy, and foggy day. The trip was uneventful either though the weather was nasty. The captain had everything under control and we hardly rocked at all. I have a tendency to be a little queasy, but I was fine on this ride. The crew were very friendly and showed concern for the elderly... More

The bar and grill at the Lewes Ferry Terminal is one of Lewes's best kept secrets. Great drinks, fabulous fries, and a great view make it a great place to go for happy Hour or to spend a rainy beach afternoon.

I have been on this ferry several times . Once with a horse trailer with 2 horses and also with our car to get to Cape May for vacation. Both times it was fun its so relaxing to be able to drive your vehicle on the boat and just chill till you get to the other side!

We recently made the crossing from Cape May, NJ to Lewes Delaware with a three generation family group, from age 2 to 70. It was fun for us all, and VERY exciting for the little one. Every member of the crew on our boat was remarkably cordial and pleasant, and obviously had great pride in their jobs and "their" ship.... More

The Ferry is something you have to do when visiting this area. It is something fun for the whole family. The scenery is beautiful. The Ferry is large and has a nice smooth ride. Very enjoyable for everyone. Great way to get to cape may and spend the day sightseeing.

Taking the Cape-May Lewes Ferry is an enjoyable, fun-filled day whether disembarking in Lewes or in Cape May, two unique small coastal towns with so much to offer in restaurants, shops, etc. The ferry itself is clean, comfortable, and provides MANY opportunities for "photo shoots" along the way, including those spectacular dolphin shows. A must do for anyone traveling through... More

I encourage anyone travelling between Delaware and NJ, or anyone who wishes to have a beautiful nautical experience, to try this ferry. The vessels dock in two lovely and historic towns, both of which are near high quality beaches (Full disclosure: I am a resident of Lewes). This route certainly beats traveling the I-95, the NJ Turnpike and Garden State... More
