This was my first time as a foot passenger for a day trip from Lewes. My friend and I met the jitney in Cape May, which dropped us off at the center of town and right behind the bicycle rental shop ($12 for the day). We spent most of our day touring the streets and enjoying the gorgeous weather and... More

We researched this trip before we headed there in our car for this great experience. My family found it best to leave early, around nine am, to be on board the ferry, take the trip over to Cape May, spend a few hours walking around the shopping/beach area, and then return. We returned to the NJ side around 6:00 pm.... More

I've taken this journey several times and it's a great way to cut some driving time out of a journey between New Jersey and Delaware. While price is a consideration, once in a while it's nice just to sit back and relax and let someone else do the driving. Nice lounge area with comfortable seating the ferry is very clean,... More

We have taken the ferry every year for 20 years. The latest interior renovation is very dissapointing. It feels like a bad bus ride. Or maybe sardines! Please remove the airplane seating. Not your best move. Get a new designer!

We are sorry to hear about your disappointment in regards to our new interiors. We typically get a lot of compliments about them but at times we do find someone who unfortunately does not like them. We appreciate your comments and your review. They sometimes are not easy to read but it gives us an idea of what our guests... More

Want to take a break from driving? While traveling north or south, take your car on a ferry ride to Delaware or New Jersey. We have taken the Cape May-Lewes ferry over a dozen times. It's a wonderful, one hour boat ride where visitors can view the waters from either outdoors or inside the ferry. On several occasions we have... More

I took the ferry to Cape May as a foot passenger. The price is very reasonable and there is food and drinks available if needed. Several times the captain pointed out dolphin sightings. The 80 minute ferry trip to Cape May was relaxing and enjoyable.

Take it every year or so to a family beach week in Bethany. So much better than driving on I-95. As long as you get the tickets ahead of time and arrive before ferry leaves you are fine. On a summer weekend and you don't you could have a long uncomfortable wait. Its Always pleasant in the shade and you... More

Taking the ferry was a great travel break in the drive from Connecticut to Florida in our desire to avoid traffic snarls in the DC area, and we were in no rush. We had a reservation, but arrived earlier and were accommodated on an earlier ferry. A smooth ride with the pilot/captain pointing out dolphins. A very relaxing 1 and... More

This was our first time taking the ferry from cape may to lewes and we had a blast. They load you on quickly as well as departure. All ages would enjoy, food available as well as beverages. Bathrooms were clean which is always a plus. Would highly recommend.

Nice ride on a boat, but kind of expensive if you take your car with you. My only complaint is towards the crew, I found them not friendly at all and at time very rude. We took the last boat of the day and they started cleaning around from the minute we got on board, closing the trash cans in... More
