Smooth.

Took the trip from Cape May down to DE and it went like clockwork. We hadn't been on the ferry in years but it is a relaxing way to go. Worth going.

THE GOOD - Nice scenic ride, breaks up the car ride & makes the travel part of the fun. Convenient connector from NJ to the Delmarva peninsula for those heading south to the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel bridge. THE BAD - Price is expensive after factoring cost for car & additional fare per person (other than driver) in the car THE... More

All of my childhood memories of the best vacations are in Lewes/Rehobeth. We always camp in Cape Henlopen and a ferry ride is a summer must! We did the Cape May Zoo last time and the kids had a great time. The ride is relaxing and the kids enjoy it so much! Ever year we return and I swear it... More

Just loved this impromptu ferry trip. Had looked at driving from Atlantic City to Virginia Beach but didn't really want to hit any major cities. Had a relaxing ride to the ferry and boarded without any problems. Beautiful sunny day-enjoyed being outdoors and seeing the water. Saved a lot of driving and felt a whole lot more relaxed. I'd do... We stopped at the Virginia Welcome center and a man there was very helpful in telling us about this option that saved us tolls and miles. The ferry is free and leaves every half hour so no reservation is needed. It is basic and has no food but takes about 15 minutes to go across the bay to Williamsburg from... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, however I think you have us mixed up with another Ferry Service. We are located in Cape May, NJ and Lewes, DE and cross the bay between the two cities. Our Ferry service does have a fare and our departures this time of year depart every 1 1/2 to 3... More

My family has been traveling on the Cape May Ferry for the past 26 years, between our homes in New Jersey and Delaware. Each trip has been enjoyable as well as relaxing. The staff is friendly and accomodating, and recently the boats have been refurbished with excellent seating indoors. Seating areas outside on the deck are also nice and a... More

90 minutes from my home in Princess Anne, then 90 minute cruise from Lewes to Cape May for $11 RT gezzer pass. Was too cold and windy to hang outside should be able to enjoy in better weather. Has a snack bar and micro, comfortable seats. Can bring a bike for free.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm happy to hear that you were able to use one of our discounted rates. We try to offer discounts and promotions as often as possible. In the winter it is harder to enjoy the experience because of the cold air but glad you decided to take the trip regardless.... More

We drove our vehicle onto the ferry to make the trek to our next destination of Lewes, DE. The process was easy and organized. If you get there early, pass on the food and bar drinks in the large waiting lobby. They are just okay. Same goes for the food on the ferry. It's just standard "sitting under the heat... More

Nice relaxing ride on the ferry. Leaving Lewes to go to Cape May-great town to visit and lots of wonderful eateries. Local tour of homes is always interesting. Ferry to Lewes results in awesome beaches or tax free shopping at the outlets. Actually just hanging for dinner at the Lewes terminal is a great time as you can sit outside... More
