We drove our vehicle onto the ferry to make the trek to our next destination of Lewes, DE. The process was easy and organized. If you get there early, pass on the food and bar drinks in the large waiting lobby. They are just okay. Same goes for the food on the ferry. It's just standard "sitting under the heat... More

Nice relaxing ride on the ferry. Leaving Lewes to go to Cape May-great town to visit and lots of wonderful eateries. Local tour of homes is always interesting. Ferry to Lewes results in awesome beaches or tax free shopping at the outlets. Actually just hanging for dinner at the Lewes terminal is a great time as you can sit outside... More

I live in Lewes so my husband and I have taken the ferry to Cape May quite a few times. It is a very comfortable, relaxing trip. We usually don't take our car but have done it once, either way it is a great way to travel.

My children and I frequently use the Cape May Lewes Ferry to cross the bay to visit family in Delaware. The terminal, the ability to drive-on with your vehicle, amenities and friendly staff make the $$ worth it. The only alternative would be a 3 hour drive through NJ, PA and down into Delaware. The ferry is convenient and a... More

If you don't get sea sick this 40 minute trip will be a nice break from driving. It's wonderful to get coffee and basic food onboard. Be careful in bad weather if you get seasick easy its a rocky boat.

We agree if you have a history of getting sea sick, its best to watch the weather to see what the seas will be like. We do sell medicine in our gift shops to try and prevent that but unfortunately its always hard to tell what's going to happen. A lot of our readers are concerned about this so I... More

My husband & I travel back & forth twice a year from our New Jersey home to our Florida home & we always take the ferry. It's a nice break from driving, saves us time & gas, the crew on the ferry are always so pleasant. It's always clean and the scenery is beautiful.

Typical ferry ride. A little grungy. Not very friendly employees. Great to do if you haven't before.

I travel this route 10-12 times a year, in the summer season, and have for the last 45+ years. I live in VA and have a summer home a few miles north of Cape May. This is a relaxing, wonderful end to a 3 1/2 hour trip from my home to the ferry terminal, and a significant part of my... More

Everything was great and everyone was so nice except the cashier. She really needs a personality. I would have given a 5 if not for her.
