Plenty of old items to see. Gives a chance to see how things were like years ago. Children a handicap friendly. Easy parking.

Was up there last year for another event, in my 30+ yrs here in the state it never dawned on me to visit this place. Oh well, my loss. But I will say its better visited when its not hosting another event to be able to actually stop & look at things. The day I was there I was being... More

This is a really neat museum where you can see everything from a full size crop duster to the outside village. There is a farmhouse, church, mill, school, store and other buildings. It is very kid friendly. Every year they have a Halloween trick and treat event which should not be missed if you are in the local area. There... More

I am a little biased as I work at this museum as a volunteer curator. If you have young children, this is a wonderful opportunity for them to see what life was like back in the 1800s and early 1900s. There are many guided tours and hands on demonstrations. There is an original log cabin, a farmhouse, schoolhouse, barbershop, railroad... More

my very first year in dover we took in the ag museum for the winter exhibit sharing the experience with newly made amish friends.. to our surprise we found that our amish friends still live in the styles demonstrated by the "folks of yore" it was a wonderful evening visiting the little village located behind the museum as well as... A fun visit with grandparents who remember using the tools! Lots of things to look at and touch, especially like the buildings outside which reflect different eras and cultures. Sometimes great art exhibits inside too.

The outdoor exhibits (church, schoolhouse, farmhouse, etc) are a nice mix of older buildings that have been moved onto the site. The indoor exhibits have a lot of old tractors and other displays of farm life. It's a decent place for kids when visiting the Dover area.

The historic value of this museum and village is amazing, but there is a flock of geese that has taken over the entire outdoor area and poop is everywhere. I am surprised the Delaware State Health Department has not closed them down. We were visiting right when a school group of 3rd to 5th graders was touring, and I shudder... More

Not very big by museum standards but if you want to kill an hour and learn a bit it's not a bad place to visit.

I went there on field trips as a kid, so a little nostalgic for me. Now that I am a mom, I think it is pretty neat to take my kids there to learn about our local history.
