After the beach restoration, the steepness of the beach and the loss of the break walls has caused the waves to come in and break quickly and were dangerous. Not too many ventured in for a swim. Disappointed in not being able to enjoy a swim.

Had a AWESOME time today at Dewey Beach. Parking was close but you only get 10 mins per quarter. The beach was clean and very pleasant. Wave are big enough to have fun. Mommy and Daddy had fun boogie boarding. My 5 year was able to enjoy the ocean without having to hold on to her the whole time. We... More

Beach is not as crowded as others in the area and is well maintained. Staying at Atlantic View Hotel has excellent ocean views and they have very nice pool and have beach chairs for guest to use on beach at no cost.

We enjoy Dewey Beach. Seems quieter than other areas and you can walk everywhere you need to go. Short drive to Rehobeth and the outlets.

Dewey beach (and the surrounding beaches) was far better than anything I've experienced on the east coast. Natural but not as vast and unkempt as Cape Cod, not as over run as the Jersey Shore, not as tacky as Myrtle Beach.

One of the best regional beaches, with a great lifeguard staff but no restrooms- you have to go back to your hotel or rental cottage. A bit rough for smaller children.

We took our daughter and her family to Dewey two years and found it to have a nice beach, over a nice dune and it was quiet. This year we came back and it was just as nice. The waves are a bit rough for small kids but that didn't keep our granddaughter from have great fun running through the... More

Dewey beach was a llittle too congested for me. There's were lots of shops, and restaurants/bars, but I found the beach as well as the promenade very congested
