As expected, it was kitschy shell knick-knacks, cheap jewelry and tee shirts everywhere. The walkway was okay. The best thing going for it was the random street style performers. Very entertaining after dark.

I personally enjoy this boardwalk to the more crowded ones like Ocean City. For full disclosure, we stay in Bethany every year, so I may be just a little biased. The small shops are a great way to spend a rainy day, or just beat the heat for a while. There are a lot of dining options in town as... More

We enjoy the boardwalk and the beach right in "Downtown Bethany Beach. The boardwalk itself is about one mile long. This time on year only a few stores are open during the week, weekends. View the BB Beach Cams you'll see. If you enjoy the company of your significant mate, or yourself alone, it doesn't really matter. For the shops... More

If your looking for pin ball games, noise, scantily glad young people-skip this and go to Rehobeth or Ocean City. This small town gets it right by having good entertainment three nights a week at the boardwalk and other nights just families walking the boardwalk and enjoying the beach. A community that prides itself in normal activities. Take a look at... More

Rehoboth and Ocean City are much more happening. BB is a small quaint place. If you want a crowded boardwalk, come here in the season. They do have free concerts in the bandstand which is awesome. Very family friendly.

Nice quiet beach without the masses of people. Only downsides are the lack of any public shower facilities and very limited parking (parking was close but had to feed meter every 2 hrs). Plenty of places to eat and a nice park for the kids if they want a break from the beach.

Spent only 2 hrs there during the Labor Day holiday and there was still plenty to do when we go there. It was Sunday so some of the store had closed by the I got to them all, but would make it a point to visit them again during our next visit. Plenty of eating and beach souvenir options. Parking... a very nice quiet boardwalk to take a stroll on. I prefer the ocean city boardwalk, there is something cool about seeing the Ferris wheel and attractions at night while strolling the boardwalk, but I would not want to stay there. Bethany is a boardwalk that I would want to stay on. many vacation rentals have doors that lead right... More

It's like any other boardwalk. Maureen's ice cream shop is a sure place to stop. There was another shop that was definitely over priced. They have everything you'd expect on a boardwalk.

Bethany Beach is a pretty large, family-oriented, beach town with a rather small Boardwalk. However, the setting is very nice if you don't want the hassle of the more touristy boardwalks and it does hold it's on on a mini-level. Good restaurants, some variety to what you can find, artisan jewelers and a couple of great surf-clothing shops. In the... More
