We visited to do Go Ape which is a zip line park up in the trees. It's a real blast for the whole family. We did the one in Williamsburg Va. last year and loved that too.

The campsites here are very spacious. The bathrooms and showers were clean. We had a wonderful leisurely hike along the Swamp Forest trail, which is well maintained. I was a bit apprehensive of this place after reading some of the reviews on here before our trip- mainly the ones about being woken up by rangers with flashlights rummaging through belongings.... I go to this park primarily for the convenient location, but also because the 7 1/2 mile hike around the pond is a perfect hike for me year-round. It is a natural trail, complete with uneven ground and tree roots, but pretty easy since it is flat. You can't really get lost. It takes about 2 1/2 hours or a... More

We went zip lining in July 2014 at Lums Pond Park and this is what my grandson wrote: "My name is Fox and I am 12 years old. I went to go zip lining with my grandma at Lums Pond Park. The place was called 'Go Ape'. At first I was kind of nervous but once you are high on... More

Great site ..ruined by park rangers circling the whole night and shining their spotlights in our tents..quiet time hours are enforced for everyone apparently..They let kids run buck wild scream and shout till past 1 am then they are busting everyone with alcohol so you hear them emptying out bottles and breaking glass.not to mention pissed off campers telling about... I spent a lovely Sunday paddling around on a Kayak and doing some fishing with my wife and dog before having a great picnic in the park. This park is huge and has all of the amenities you could want. It's beautifully maintained. Live bait available. Restrooms on premises.

We stopped in here while one of the community events (ADA Tour de cure) was going on. There were lots of bikers ready to ride. We took a peek at Go Ape since it is back where the ADA tour de cure kicked off. It was interesting to watch & there were lots of people waiting to zip-line, but it... More

There was a huge amount of people which is understandible. However, there was one park ranger that we saw all day. We watched numerous people disrespecting the park in many ways. We watched children dangling from and breaking tree limbs, people engaging in smoking marijuana right in front of our child as we tried to fish. Two people on paddle... More

Expensive at $28 per night. Address is totally different than the one posted on the website. Wear your shower shoes for sure. Mold, cracked tiles, dead (mummified) insects & dirt in the bathhouse on the floors & walls. Standing water at the lone dump station, over flowing trash dumpsters, & no individual water, trash cans or dump at the marginally... More

Great place to let the fast pace pass you by. Whether out for a walk or paddling in a Conoe, it is nice to enjoy nature. Lots of turtles and fish. Safe and clean. Highly recommend packing a picnic and going to relax. Nice playground for the kids, boats to rent and plenty of space to spread out. You can... More
