We recently spent a Sunday afternoon at Taylor Brooke and we both agree it is one of the best wineries in CT. The staff couldn’t be friendlier and they truly make you feel welcomed. Their prices for wine tasting are very reasonable and, hands-down, the best value compared to others in the state. You can choose 2 wines to taste... More

I know this isn't Napa Valley or the hills of France I would not consider serving their wine at any function. The setting is ok, no real character as it is relatively new, the vineyard is new so not the prettiest yet.

I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy our wines. Although we have a wide range of wines for any palate, occasionally, you can visit a winery where you don't like anything. As for the vineyard; yes we did just plant 5,000 grapevines last year and they are not mature, but the vineyard directly behind the tasting room... More

Traveled about 2 hours with high hopes and found the wines too sweet here. Everything was flavor infused into the same white wine....peach ..rasp...apple..and the fruit list goes on.....

I am sorry you didn't like our fruit-infused wines; as popular as they are, they may not be for everyone. However, it sounds like you may not have tasted all of our wines, because most do not have the infusion, like our dry Riesling, Woodstock Hill White(dry), Traminette (off dry), Wine Dog1(semi-sweet), St. Croix Rose'(off-dry) and reds, all of which... Taylor Brook is by far one of my FAVORITE Wineries here in CT. I purchased 6 bottles of wine this year. Barry is our favorite employee who does the BEST wine tastings. Each year we hope he is the person who is free to do our tasting. Barry LOVES people and enjoys explaining the wine process, flavor and the bottle... More

Ok the location is not as "sexy" as those nearby or those in California Wine Country but perched high above the main road the staff were excellent! The owner came over and greeted us (party of 3) and we told him we wanted to try a few types then buy a few and enjoy them outside. He helped us and... More

We came here on a beautiful fall day to try some Connecticut wines and were very impressed. We opted for the $5 (each) tasting which included most of the wines on the menu. The staff member helping us was very knowledgable about the wines and how they were made. We settled on purchasing two whites and two reds. The staff... More

This place reminds you that wines are supposed to be fun. No pretentions or annoying wine theater here, just surprisingly good wines served by knowledgeable, engaging people with smiles all around. Tastings offer a decent pour so you can really sense what you’ve been offered and prices are very reasonable: $5 for 8 wines or just $8 for all 12... More

We stopped for a wine tasting, and were not disappointed. Their prices for tastings for this area seem to be very reasonable. We went with the full sweep of tasting for $12. We are fans of dry wines, and they had some that fit into that category, but also a variety of others that tended towards the sweeter side. But... More

We never get tired of hearing from people who have really had a good time and enjoy our wines when they visit. We do try to keep our tasting fee reasonable and don't add the cost of a logo glass to the price, but leave it up to you if you want one. The full menu of 13 wines is... More

This is one of my top 5 wineries in CT. Their wines are great across the board, and I especially love their wines with fruit essence. Green apple reisling! My fave! Barry gives fabulous tastings, but I've also had a few other staff members give me a tasting as well. Everyone is always very sweet, and of course everyone loves... More
