Last time I attended this West Hartford landmark, I had a great time. Yes the layout is a bit confusing, but it seems like they've had to renovate and expand the museum since opening. The lay out was horrible and there were stairs everywhere. We have a 2 year old and it was quiet stressful. The place was really dirty and not well lit . It seem to be the kind of place you could easily lose track of a older kid. We even saw a man hanging out at one exhibits that was... more

I had high hopes for this museum, but I was terribly let down! The building is horribly laid out, much like a maze, with narrow hallways and few signs to direct patrons. The exhibits were sparse, and not well-maintained at all. The so-called 'animal sanctuary' consisted of mostly snakes and lizards, one bobcat, and two owls, all in small glass... more
