I've been to wineries all over the world and this one was a little different. It was definitely geared to handle mobs of people and lots of tables inside and out to accommodate. Pros- beautiful view and lovely setting, they allow you to bring any food you want but no beverages of any kind including water. Lots of tables to... More

We were allowed to bring our own lunch . Drinks must be purchased at the wine bar. Picnic tables are out on the lawn and long tables are available indoors. (go early for indoor seating) The view is just beautiful almost like being in France.

Pack a dinner and head to this winery for a meal and a bottle of wine! Wine is priced between $20-24/ bottle. The winery sits on a hill overlooking Wallingford and the sunset is fantastic. Staff is friendly. They close either at 8 or 9 pm depending on the day.

My friends and I love coming to Gouveia Winery! The views are stunning and the wine is delish! My favorite time to go is in the fall when the leaves are changing. It's spectacular!

On a glorious summer Thursday, we brought out-of-town friends here for a picnic lunch so they could enjoy the panoramic views and some Connecticut wines. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive as we enjoyed the wine tasting before our picnic. We chose a table outside but there are lots of table inside as well. Tasting was $10pp for 4... Actually, this venue is less than 1 mile from my house. This is a great place to bring a picnic dinner, order a couple of bottles of wine, and bask in the sunset. The wine is priced not by its quality, but by the overall experience. I keep going back. You should too.

Gouveia Vineyards never disappoints. BYO food, beautiful landscape, friendly staff. The only downfall? The wine is pricey and several varieties really don't taste well.

Great place to start off or end the week-end. Bring your own food, sit inside, outside, or in the vineyard and eat while sipping one of Gouvia Vineyards wines. You must purchase all drinks from the vineyard, which is only fair. Also a good place to get your whole group together to celebrate an event. Gets very busy on weekends,... More

My husband and I frequent Gouveia Vineyard regularly. We live only four miles away. Whenever we feel we need a mini-vacation, we pick up food from a local restaurant or make our own and head to Gouveia. Whether a we sit and eat indoors in the winter or outdoors the rest of the year, after just an hour, we leave... More
