Great place to meet friends and drink some wine! Can be a little crowded on the weekend but on a nice day there's plenty of room inside and out.

I went for a weekend in Ct with friends and we were looking for attractions in the area. Part of the Connecticut Wine Trail, the Vineyard offers a tour which in the cold is really just a walk to the basement to look at the barrels and here the very charming owner discuss how he got into making wine and... Perfect place for enjoying late Spring to early Fall enjoying the scenery while sitting outside. During colder weather sit inside the vineyard lodge. No food served by vineyard by local ordinance, but bring your own and enjoy the atmosphere with friends. Outside is very serene. Inside is noisy because of the hard surfaces (hardwood floors, ceilings and lots of glass),... More

We came to Gouveia's for a wine tasting and a tour. Because of the weather the tour took place in the basement of the winery. The owner gave the 'tour' and gave lots of information on each of his wines and grapes, etc. Very interesting. The downside to this experience was the location of the wine tasting. The wine itself... I was lucky to be here at the end of fall beginning of winter, what a sunset.sat next to the outside fire and drank a red. The wines were just ok,were not $24 -28 bottles, but you did what you do on a nice day.Staff were friendly,a place if you love wine tasting scenery and a quiet place for an afternoon,or a... More

Gouveia has a nice selection of wine. The wine tastings are fun and each time you go there may be different wines to taste. It is fun to bring food and sit with a glass of wine. Beautiful scenery too!

That's a terrific combination! Just get here by noon to get a good seat! It's very popular and with good reason. Bring your snacks, or a whole meal (a party of about 50 set up a buffet line!) and enjoy the views and the very refined wines (mostly $20-24/bottle). Six of us finished off five bottles and a couple odd... More

Gouveia's wines are great in any season, but this winery really shines when it's warm enough to site outside and enjoy the beautiful view that surrounds the winery. It is great to be able to bring your own food and have a lovely picnic outside. In the wintertime you can do the same inside, but the tasting room can get... More
