This was Kens 1st vineyard visit. And the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We got to see the process of the beginnings of this the wine making. We walked the property to the beginning of the vines, the season of our visit (Fall) was amazing also to see the foliage. With the depth of the vineyard running into the gorgeous... More

We visited some wineries in the area the last weekend of September when the weather was absolutely gorgeous, which only added to ambiance of wine tasting. Let me start by saying I think wine tasting prices in CT are expensive, but that's the way wineries here operate.. I forget the actual price, but we did get the couples rate, which... More

We just happened upon the festival by accident. It was fun, the food vendors were good but the wine was a bit disappointing.

We headed to Stonington Vineyards after leaving Jonathan Edwards, a short drive. We were greeted by Nancy, who was amazingly pleasant and very welcoming. The grounds were beautiful. Nancy told us they had a wedding the previous day and apologized for the workers taking down the tent. We bought 2 bottles of wine, 2 glasses and two tastings, for $80.... More

This was the second stop on my friend’s birthday wine tasting weekend. The grounds were scenic and the tasting room was spacious, airy and beautiful. Although the tasting room was slightly busy, a woman quickly greeted us and gladly ran a tasting. She was friendly, talkative and very helpful. I’m not a huge fan of white wines (love my reds)... We had an enjoyable tasting here, sampling all the wines they had available. (If I remember correctly it was 6-7 wines for $12, including the glass.) They seem to know what they are doing and have a few that are a little bit different, such as the Sheer Chardonnay, which has a slightly different flavor from other unoaked chardonnays that... More

Enjoyable wine tasting followed by a glass of wine and snack looking out at the beautiful view! Two pretty patio areas to sit and relax.

Although they are under construction, the people were fantastic and knowledgeable. The wines we tasted were very good and everyone I was with took at least one bottle home.

We have been to Stonington Vineyards 5 or 6 times now. The last time was 2 years ago so we were surprised to see the remodeled tasting room. Although it was not 100% finished, it was beautiful. The warm wood greets you as you enter and displays their wines and the numerous awards that they have won. There were about... More
