Connecticut is a haven for fossilized dino footprints. The displays are excellent and very well designed. Whoever did the demos for this place got it right and kids as well as adults pay attention. Plus there are miles of interpreted hiking trails and you can make a plaster cast of a real fossil footprint! Do this with the kids and... more

Dinosaur State Park is a terrific place to visit. The largest enclosed dinosaur track site in North America, there are hundreds of early Jurassic tracks easily seen from walkways over the site. Coming to this famous Dinosaur State Park no problem taking exit 23 of I-91 following the sign. There are plenty of parking lots which are free. It opens fairly early but we got there around 10am on Sunday morning when there are already many vistors. We followed the footprints and side walk leading to the giant geodesic dome and paid... more
